  • Patent number: 12358503
Abstract: A method for operating an automated vehicle involves recording traffic congestion ahead of the vehicle and determining whether hazard lights of a vehicle following the vehicle in its lane are switched on. • Publication number: 20250010860
Abstract: A method for controlling an automatically driving vehicle in the region of a crossroads using data recorded by a surroundings recording sensor system is provided. Before reaching the crossroads along a roadway lying ahead of the vehicle until the crossroads are reached, several future vehicle positions are determined as stopping point candidates. For each of the stopping point candidates, a field of vision of the surroundings recording sensor system is predicted considering an elevation profile of a carriageway surface in the region of the crossroads. The stopping point candidate at which the surroundings recording sensor system has the greatest field of vision is selected as the stopping position of the vehicle. At the stopping position, the vehicle surroundings are recorded by the surroundings recording sensor system. Depending on a traffic situation ascertained from the data of the surroundings recording sensor system, the vehicle is automatically steered into the crossroads.

  • Patent number: 12106579
Abstract: A vehicle is located on a digital map, with objects being stored in the digital map in a georeferenced manner. From a set of these objects stored in a georeferenced manner in the digital map, which are currently being detected by the environment sensor, the object most distant from the environment sensor is identified and a current sensor range of the environment sensor is determined on the basis of the distance of the environment sensor from the object.

  • Patent number: 11866050
Abstract: A method and a device for operating a vehicle assistance system in that the environment of the vehicle and objects located in the vehicle are determined using detected signals from an environment sensor system. Using the method and device it may be determined whether the roadway lying ahead of the vehicle driving in an automated driving mode is snow-covered and has tire tracks. In the event the tire tracks are there, and depending on the determined course of the tire tracks for the vehicle, a decision is made as to whether a journey along these tire tracks is critical.

  • Publication number: 20230111226
Abstract: A method for supporting an automatically driving vehicle is provided. In one embodiment, it is ascertained whether it is possible for the automatically driving vehicle to change lanes to a fast lane in order to pass an obstacle located in front of the automatically driving vehicle on a roadway. If not, the automatically driving vehicle stops before reaching the obstacle and transmits a support request to a vehicle-external center. The vehicle-external center detects another vehicle in the surroundings of the automatically driving vehicle and instructs same to move in the direction of the automatically driving vehicle and change to the fast lane before reaching the automatically driving vehicle.
