  • Publication number: 20220406203
Abstract: A control system in communication with one of an aircraft navigational aid system and an aircraft surveillance system is described. The control system obtains measurement data associated with radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted by the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) reporting the measurement data. The control system also determines whether the measurement data indicates the RF signals are within a range of values based on a location of the UAV in an airspace proximate to the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system. The control system further controls the RF signals transmitted by the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system based on the measurement data and the location of the UAV. Methods performed by the control system are also described.

  • Patent number: 11346919
Abstract: A system for determining the position of an aircraft comprises an emitter arranged at the aircraft for emitting a signal, at least two receivers arranged at different locations for receiving the signal emitted by the emitter, and an evaluation device which is designed to determine an aircraft position based on the known positions of the receivers at the time of the reception of the signal and on a characteristic of the signal emitted by the emitter and received by the receivers. The invention proposes that at least one of the receivers is located above the aircraft, and that the evaluation means is designed to determine a vertical position (ALT) of the aircraft from the signal received by the receivers and the known positions of the receivers.

  • Patent number: 8498803
Abstract: The invention relates to an air traffic control of aircraft. At least one transmission station in an aircraft transmits a broadcast signal received by at least one receiving station and further transmits at least a part of the data contained in the broadcast signal to a central station or other organizations. At least part of the receiving stations are designed as satellite receiving stations, wherein the broadcast signal transmitted by the at least one transmission station to be secured is received by at least one of the satellite receiving stations and at least part of the data contained in the broadcast signal is further transmitted via a radio transmission route to a satellite ground control station and further to the air traffic control central station or another organization.

  • Publication number: 20110015852
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement and a method for flight security and/or air traffic control of aircraft (1, 2). At least one transmission station (3, 4) in an aircraft (1, 2) to be securing and/or directed transmits a broadcast signal (5, 6) received by at least one of a plurality of receiving stations (20) at a distance from each other and further transmitting at least a part of the data contained in the broadcast signal (5, 6) to a flight security and/or air traffic control central station (11) or other organizations.
