  • Patent number: 11867978
Abstract: A depth information detection device detects an item of depth information relating to a user's head, including a distance from the user's head to the device. On the basis of this depth information and, if applicable, additional information such as images, an evaluation device determines the desired parameters for fitting the spectacles, such as centering parameters.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 9, 2021
Date of Patent: January 9, 2024
Assignees: Carl Zeiss Vision International GmbH, Carl Zeiss AG
Inventors: Tobias Breuninger, Holger Wegendt, Oliver Schwarz, Jeremias Gromotka
  • Patent number: 11758115
Abstract: A method is provided for the user-specific calibration of a display apparatus, wearable on the head of a user, for an augmented presentation, wherein A), in a basic calibration step, the position of the at least one eye is ascertained relative to the display apparatus in all three spatial directions in the state where the display apparatus is worn on the head of the user and said position is saved in the display apparatus as adjustment data in such a way that an image generating module of the display apparatus generates the image taking account of the adjustment data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 13, 2019
Date of Patent: September 12, 2023
    Assignee: tooz technologies GmbH
Inventors: Cristina Alvarez Diez, Momchil Davidkov, Holger Wegendt

  • Patent number: 7384144
Abstract: An apparatus (3) for determining centering data for eyeglasses (2) comprises a fixation device (5) and a recording unit (4) that can be triggered by a computer, records electronic images, and is disposed behind a divider element (8). The fixation device (5) produces at least one speckle pattern. The speckles can be superposed by different patterns, for example, a cross shape. The invention further relates to a method for determining centering data. The inventive method and apparatus allow to measure for test persons having the most different acuity of vision the relative centering data from a short distance while maintaining their usual posture.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 12, 2006
Date of Patent: June 10, 2008
    Assignee: Carl Zeiss Vision GmbH
Inventors: Martin Ross-Messemer, Matthias Kubitza, Frank Höller, Herbert Krug, Holger Wegendt
