  • Patent number: 8784656
Abstract: A preliminary filter for a fuel delivery unit of a motor vehicle, with a filter fabric which is tensioned by a supporting edge. The supporting edge is manufactured integrally with a connecting piece for connection to the fuel delivery unit and with transverse webs and supporting ribs. The preliminary filter has few components to be assembled and can be manufactured particularly cost-effectively.

  • Publication number: 20100284840
Abstract: A fuel pump having an electric motor and a pump stage driven by the electric motor. The pump stage includes an impeller disposed in a pump housing, and the pump housing having a pump base and a pump cover. The pump cover has an inlet port. The inlet port is thereby designed to be changeable in axial length.

  • Patent number: 7523838
Abstract: The invention relates to a housing which is composed of two housing halves (1a, 1b) that form a bottom (5) and a lid (6) and an intervening section (7). According to the invention, sections of the walls of the two housing halves (1a, 1b) are configured as respective peripheral rims (10, 11) which are joined to each other while overlapping, thereby increasing the wall thickness in the area of the rims (10, 11). The rims (10, 11) thus contribute to the wall thickness required to impart to the housing the necessary stability.

  • Publication number: 20060207929
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel filter for a motor vehicle. According to the invention, two cover disks (5, 6) retainingi a filter tissue (7) are produced as one piece with one half of a support cage (8) of the filter tissue (7) each. The cover disks (5, 6) have an identical structure and can be fitted together. This permits the fuel filter to be produced in a particularly cost-effective manner.

  • Patent number: 6206035
Abstract: A safety system for use in a motor vehicle fuel system in which fuel flow components generate electrostatic charges. The system includes a fuel pump that has a housing that is electrically connected to ground potential and an electrically conductive safety device that connects each fuel flow component to the fuel pump housing for discharging static electricity to ground through the fuel pump housing.
