  • Patent number: 9446739
Abstract: A method for controlling an adjusting movement of a power-operated adjustable vehicle closing element, via which a body opening of a vehicle can be closed and which can automatically be adjusted for clearing the body opening in the presence of an operating event is provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 1, 2013
Date of Patent: September 20, 2016
Assignee: BROSE FAHRZEUGTEILE GMBH & CO. KOMMANDITGESELLSCHAFT
Inventors: Bernd Herthan, Thomas Weingartner, Holger Wurstlein, Udo Geuther
  • Patent number: 9382744
Abstract: A method for testing the operation of a capacitive anti-trap system for an adjustable vehicle closing element actuated by external force, such as a side door, a window, a sunroof or a tailgate, wherein a body opening of a vehicle can be locked in a closed position and that is can be moved into a closed position by a motorized drive unit. The capacitive anti-trap system is configured for detecting the trapping of an obstacle when closing the vehicle closing element by evaluating an electrical capacitance that is changed by the obstacle. The electrical capacitance, which also changes when the vehicle closing element is opened, is evaluated on the basis of at least one measured value in order to test the proper operation of the anti-trap system.

  • Publication number: 20150300070
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for testing the operation of a capacitive anti-trap system for an adjustable vehicle closing element actuated by external force, such as a side door, a window, a sunroof or a tailgate, by means of which a body opening of a vehicle can be locked in a closed position and that is can be moved into a closed position by means of a motorized drive unit. By means of the capacitive anti-trap system, the trapping of an obstacle is detectable when closing the vehicle closing element by evaluating an electrical capacitance that is changed by the obstacle. The electrical capacitance which also changes when the vehicle closing element is opened is evaluated on the basis of at least one measured value in order to test the proper operation of the anti-trap system.

  • Publication number: 20100156440
Abstract: The invention relates to an anti-pinch sensor (10, 13, 36), in particular for recognising an obstacle that obstructs an actuating element (7) of a motor vehicle (1). Said sensor comprises an electrode (17), which can be attached to a measuring potential via a signal line (26) and can be positioned opposite a counter-electrode (25) and comprises an evaluation circuit (34) for detecting the capacitance between the electrode (17) and the counter-electrode (25). The electrode (17) is sub-divided into several electrodes (35), each of which has a separate feed line (23) for connection to the measuring potential. An anti-pinch sensor of this type (10, 13, 36) has a high detection sensitivity.
