    Abstract: A curable resin, e.g., a phenol-aldehyde resin, of a resin impregnated cellulosic substrate, e.g., paper, is cured by contacting said substrate with high temperature steam in a continuous superheated state. The resulting product exhibits superior physical properties, e.g., improved wet properties such as boiled tensile strength.
