  • Publication number: 20130153674
Abstract: An outlet assembly for an aerosol assembly comprises a valve assembly and a metering member. The valve assembly comprises a valve housing, a valve stem defining a stem inlet and a stem outlet, a valve spring, and a valve seal. Movement of the valve stem from a first stem position to an intermediate stem position disengages the valve stem from the valve seal such that fluid is allowed to flow into the stem inlet and out of the stem outlet. The valve stem displaces the metering member from a first metering position to a second metering position as the valve stem moves from the first stem position to the intermediate stem position. Movement of the valve stem causes the valve stem to move relative to the metering member such that the metering member covers the stem inlet to prevent flow of fluid into the stem inlet and out of the stem outlet.

  • Publication number: 20130126632
Abstract: An aerosol system for dispensing liquid material, comprising a container assembly and an actuator assembly comprising an outlet member defining an outlet opening, a collar member, an actuator member, and a selector member. The actuator member supports the collar member and the outlet member such that movement of the collar member relative to the actuator member causes the collar member to deform the outlet member. Movement of the selector member relative to the collar member moves the collar member relative to the actuator member. Deformation of the outlet member alters a cross-sectional area of the outlet opening. When the actuator assembly is in a first position, the liquid material is prevented from flowing out of the container. When the actuator assembly is in a second position, the liquid material is allowed to flow out of the container assembly through the outlet opening.

  • Publication number: 20130122200
Abstract: The present invention may be embodied as a texturing system for applying a desired texture pattern on a surface comprising texture material comprising a pH adjusting material and at least one pH change material and a dispensing system comprising a container assembly and a propellant material. The propellant material pressurizes the texture material within the container assembly. The dispensing system allows texture material to flow out of the container assembly and onto the surface such that a visible physical structure of the texture material corresponds to a desired texture pattern. When the texture material is applied to the surface, the texture material defines a first pH level associated with a first appearance. When dry, the texture material defines a second pH level such that the pH change material defines a second appearance. The second appearance is perceptively different from the first appearance. The desired texture pattern is unchanged.

  • Publication number: 20130112340
Abstract: A method of covering an anomaly in a wall substantially to match a pre-existing texture pattern surrounding the anomaly. The method comprises the following steps. A valve is supported on a container assembly to define a main chamber. Contained material comprising wall material concentrate and propellant material is disposed within the main chamber. An actuator relative is arranged relative to the container assembly such that displacement of a button relative to the valve changes the valve from a closed configuration to an open configuration in which a portion of the propellant material is allowed to force the contained material out of the main chamber through the outlet. A first portion of the contained material is applied to the anomaly by directing the outlet at the anomaly and displacing the button. Optionally, a second portion of the contained material may be applied to the base coat by directing the outlet at the base coat and displacing the button.

  • Publication number: 20130102696
Abstract: Texture material for applying a repair coat to a substrate substantially comprising a base portion, a particulate portion, and a propellant portion. The particulate portion is made of at least one of urethane foam and melamine foam. When the texture material is contained within a sealed chamber, the propellant portion exists in a gas state and a liquid state, the propellant portion in the gas state pressurizes the base portion, the particulate portion, and the propellant portion in the liquid state and the at least one of urethane foam and melamine foam exists in solid particulate form.

  • Publication number: 20130087576
Abstract: A system for dispensing texture material comprises a main container, an outlet assembly, and an aerosol valve assembly. The main container stores texture material and pressurized propellant material. The aerosol valve assembly is arranged to allow control of fluid flowing out of the main container. The outlet assembly is configured such that the cross-sectional area of the outlet opening corresponds to the desired pattern. The aerosol valve assembly is operated to allow the pressurized propellant material to force the texture material out of the main container through the outlet opening defined by the outlet assembly. The texture material forced out of the main container is deposited on the target surface in the desired pattern.

  • Publication number: 20130082069
Abstract: A method of dispensing sprayable material in a desired spray pattern comprising the following steps. An actuator member comprising a plurality of resilient finger projections is provided. A resilient outlet member is arranged at least partly between the plurality of finger projections. A movable member is supported on the actuator member to define an actuator assembly that is supported on the valve assembly to define a dispensing path extending from the interior of the aerosol chamber to the exterior of the aerosol chamber through the valve assembly, the actuator member, and the outlet member. The movable member acts on the outlet member to deform the plurality of finger projections towards each other to alter an effective cross-sectional area of at least a portion of a dispensing path to control fluid flow along the dispensing path and thereby cause the sprayable material to be dispensed in the desired spray pattern.

  • Publication number: 20130037771
Abstract: A bracket system for forming gate assemblies comprising at least two brace members that are rigidly attached to hinge assemblies. The brace members are adapted to be attached to support members to form two corners of a gate box functioning as the structural portion of the gate assembly. The hinge assemblies are adapted to be rigidly attached to a fence post to allow the gate assembly to pivot relative to the fence post. Gate assemblies of arbitrary height and width can be formed using the bracket system.
