Abstract: A friction joint includes a housing having a channel. A first tension ring member is arranged within the channel, and has an outer dimension that is resiliently expandable. A first rotor member is received within the central opening of the first tension ring member. The first rotor member causes the outer dimension of the first tension ring member to expand within the channel of the housing and press against at least a portion of the housing. The first rotor member is frictionally engaged with and rotatable relative to the first tension ring member when the first rotor member is received within the central opening of the first tension ring member.

Abstract: An adjustable structure is described herein according to various embodiments, including an inner tube member and an outer tube member. The inner tube member and the outer tube member are configured to move in at least one of a telescoping direction or a rotation direction with respect to one another. The adjustable structure further includes a first frictional element between the inner tube member and the outer tube member. The first frictional element provides friction in the telescoping direction. Furthermore, the adjustable structure includes a second frictional element between the inner tube member and the outer tube member. The second frictional element provides friction in the rotational direction.

Abstract: An independent friction joint structure including: at least one plug part having a connection to a device, the device comprising a lamp head; at least one joint part holding the at least one plug part in place, the at least one joint part having at least one holding structure; at least one side part having the ability to generate frictional rotational resistance to keep the at least one plug part in a predetermined position; at least one electrical contact between the at least one side part and the at least one holding structure of the at least one joint part; and at least one screw to fit all the components of the independent friction joint structure together.
