  • Publication number: 20220075014
Abstract: Methods for forming conformal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) receive coil devices having at least one receive coil with at least one capacitor are provided and include providing a 3-dimensional (3D) mold structure matching a curvilinear shape of interest, and forming a receive coil pattern on an outer surface of the 3D mold structure. The forming of the receive coil pattern may include spraying and/or depositing a conductive material and a dielectric material on the outer surface of the mold structure to form the receive coil pattern. The forming a receive coil pattern may include forming the receive coil pattern on an outer surface of a flat substrate sheet, and vacuum forming an inner surface of the flat substrate sheet to the outer surface of the mold structure to form a shape-conforming substrate sheet. The shape-conforming substrate sheet may be removed from the mold and used in MRI studies.

  • Patent number: 4609576
Abstract: Artificial Christmas trees have been formed by sandwiching one or more thin strips of plastics sheeting, whose side edges have been severed by a very large number of closely spaced transverse cuts so as to give transverse elements simulating the pine needles, between a pair of wires approximately at the longitudinal center line of the strip. The resulting structure is cut to a length of two twigs and joined at its center to a main branch formed, for example, by twisting a pair of larger wires. A full branch is formed by providing a number of such twigs spaced along the length of the branch. In a branch of an artificial Christmas tree according to the invention a length to be formed into a pair of twigs is formed by twisting the composite structure at the center of its length relative the two ends forming twists of opposite directions on either side of the center.

  • Patent number: 4407575
Abstract: A method of forming a stereoscopic pair of images on a length of photographic film is provided in which one image is exposed adjacent one longitudinal side of a length of photographic film over a width of approximately half the available width of the film while the other image is exposed adjacent the other longitudinal side of the film over the remaining available width of the film, the film extending lengthwise in the form of a loop between the places where a particular stereoscopic pair are exposed and the loop being formed by bending the film through 180.degree. between the positions where the individual images of a stereoscopic pair are exposed. An advantage of this is that during the exposure of the image pair the spacing between the optical systems used to provide the left and right-hand side images can be adjusted to suit the particular scene being photographed.
