Abstract: A system enabling compressed frame scanning for a display and a method thereof are described herein. A pixel having a maximum pixel data in a row of the plurality of rows corresponding to a frame is identified. The maximum pixel data identified in the row is assigned as a pixel data for the row. A scan time for the row is computed based upon the pixel data of the row and a scanning time associated with a unit of the brightness index. An aggregate scan time for the frame is determined based upon the scan time computed for each of the plurality of rows corresponding to the frame. Finally, the frame is scanned based upon the aggregate scan time determined for the frame thereby enabling compressed scanning of the frame. The method is further implemented for randomly assigned rows of the frame to two or more sub-frames of the frame.

Given orally, the DNA composition causes a transient and self-limiting infection of the intestinal tract through autolysis of the bacterial cells and release of the plasmid after gaining entry into infected host cells. A promotor contained within the plasmid allows for expression of the HBV gene(s) in the eurokaryotic environment, the viral products of which help to booster a cell-mediated immunity to clear the infection and reverse a state of immune tolerance characteristic of HBV chronic infection.

The area is divided into cells having respective location identifiers. Each person is provided with a respective device for measuring at least one physiological parameter of the person. The physiological parameter is indicative of whether the person has a physical condition. Each device has a device identifier. The device is used to at least intermittently measure a physiological parameter of the person using the respective device to obtain a physiological parameter reading for each measurement. The physiological parameter reading is associated with the respective device identifier of the device by which, the respective location identifier of the cell in which, and a time at which the physiological parameter reading is obtained. The associated information is stored at a remote location. A system and a physiological parameter device are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of automatically disabling a low noise amplifier (LNA) that serves to boost weak video signals in a TV tuner, when the television receives a cable TV service. The method involves storing the total number of preset programs assigned during an initial auto-tune setup operation. If the total count exceeds a predetermined threshold (22, 23), this indicates cable TV service whose signals will not require boosting. The LNA is then disabled to avoid picture beat from interference between programs on neighbouring channels.

Abstract: A test system for testing layout services for supporting complex text languages in a graphical user interface (GUI) system. A GUI application is used to test the implementation of locale-specific layout services modules via the Layout Services interface, with little or no modification of the GUI toolkit. The application allows users to modify input and output text layout attributes. The input processing layout is processed and input characters are transformed into presentation layout, and the output data may be analyzed to determine if the correct transformations are being made. The application tool allows users to test a specific locale interface, and returns the result data so that the user may interpret the data. Errors may be detected and isolated to each locale-specific language module.
