    Abstract: This disclosure includes a method and electronic device for providing activity information of another related to an activity pattern of a user. The device includes a communication module, a sensor configured to sense a motion of a user of the device, a memory configured to store information about a first event and second event related to an activity pattern of the user, and at least one processor. The processor is configured to: acquire first activity information that is related to the motion of the user, select a corresponding one event among the first event and the second event, based at least on the first activity information, receive, from an external device, data corresponding to second activity information that is related to motions of one or more other users related to the corresponding one event, and display data corresponding to the first activity information and the data corresponding to the second activity information.
