  • Publication number: 20090225727
Abstract: The present invention discloses a generating method for short training field in IEEE 802.11n communication systems, mainly comprising the steps of: storing only a first set of time-domain HT-STF sequences in the memory; and deriving a second set of the time-domain HT-STF sequences from the first set of the time-domain HT-STF sequences. The first set of time-domain HT-STF sequences is the time-domain HT-STF sequences either for lower 20 MHz of 40 MHz BW or upper 20 MHz of 40 MHz BW. According to the invention, it is shown that only one set of time-domain HT-STF sequence needs to be stored in the memory. The other three sets of time-domain HT-STF sequence can be generated easily from simple calculation. Therefore, the saving in buffer size to implement all four configurations is significant.

  • Publication number: 20090221906
Abstract: A wrist coil for magnetic resonance imaging has a tubular coil formed by a number of coil splicing units spliced together in succession, and an annular coil unit that is wound around the surface of the tubular coil. Since the annular coil unit is wound around the surface of the tubular coil, and the current direction in the annular coil unit is perpendicular to the current direction in each of the coil splicing units, when some of the coil splicing units in the tubular coil do not acquire signals due to the fact that their magnetic field direction is parallel to that of the main magnetic field direction, the annular coil unit will carry out signal acquisition. Furthermore, since the magnetic flux of the annular coil unit is relatively large, this ensures a relatively high signal-to-noise ratio in the acquired signals no matter whatever layout position is adopted for the wrist coil, thus reducing equipment costs and eliminating restrictions for clinical applications in the prior art.

  • Publication number: 20090214213
Abstract: The present invention discloses a modulation device for generating an optical signal with quadruple frequency and the modulation method thereof. The modulation device in the present invention utilizes a commercial integrated modulator, a RF signal generator and a phase shifter to generate an optical signal with quadruple frequency. When the RF signal generator generates a first modulation signal, and the phase shifter shifts the first modulation signal by 90 degrees to generate a second modulation signal, the integrated modulator is biased to transmit the optical signal in maximum value and to modulate the first and second modulation signal so as to generate a output optical signal with quadruple frequency.

  • Publication number: 20090190854
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for improving the brightness uniformity in an image, signals are acquired using a radio frequency receiving coil, and noise in the acquired signals is normalized so as to produce an image, then the brightness of various pixels in the image is determined according to the sensitivity of the radio frequency receiving coil. The brightness of the image is then made uniform by compensating the brightness of the various pixels in the image.

  • Publication number: 20090186399
Abstract: A method of vanillin production from ferulic acid with a high concentration by biotransformation using a Streptomyces sp. strain is claimed in this invention. This strain is named as Streptomyces sp. V-1, which has been deposited in China Center for Type Culture Collection on Jul. 12, 2006 with the number of CCTCC M 206065. Using this strain, high concentration of vanillin fermentation broth is obtained from ferulic acid by biotransformation in GY biotransformation medium. With the addition of macroporous adsorbent resin DM11, the concentration of vanillin can be greatly improved. The advantage of this invention is less environmental pollution, high product concentration, less by-product, short processing cycle, low production cost, simple product extraction, clean production process, product environmental friendly, safe and reliable, which solves many difficulties in the vanillin production from botanical raw material extraction or chemical synthesis, and therefore it has good application prospect.

  • Patent number: 7559584
Abstract: A dual-hook locking assembly mounted in a casing subassembly is actuated from outside of the latter by a handle which causes a locking subassembly to operate between an unlocked and a locked position. By rotating the driving handle, a gearing subassembly including a pair of meshed segmental gears drives the locking subassembly between the aforementioned positions. The gearing subassembly and the locking subassembly are directly interconnected. An adjusting subassembly is used for positioning the locking subassembly with respect to a strike plate of a door. The adjusting subassembly comprises several guiding plates. The latter and the gearing subassembly have a common center of rotation.

  • Publication number: 20090175523
Abstract: An image reconstruction method applicable to a number of different imaging modalities including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), x-ray computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) is disclosed. • Publication number: 20090174498
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) switch device has at least two RF switch units, each RF switch unit having an output terminal and at least two input terminals. The RF switch units select one channel of RF signals from several channels of the RF signals that are supplied as inputs to their input terminals for emission as an output from their output terminals. A magnetic resonance imaging system and an RF signal transmission method employ such an RF switch device. The use of such an RF switch device reduces the number of channels of the RF signals that need to be further transmitted, which in turn reduces the number of the corresponding long RF cable channels and the number of channels of the subsequent devices, thereby preventing waste and reducing the cost of the system. Moreover, if the subsequent devices include a receiver coil channel selector, then the complexity of the receiver coil channel selector will also be reduced as the number of RF signal channels is decreased.

  • Publication number: 20090175181
Abstract: The present invention discloses an effective apparatus and method to measure the received signal quality for digital communication systems by measuring error vector measurement (EVM) with embedded EVM measurement block in receivers. The distinction of the present invention is that the EVMSIG and the EVMDATA are measured in the receiver for the SIGNAL fields and DATA fields, respectively. EVMSIG is a good indicator for one spatial stream and EVMDATA is a good indicator for current multiple streams. The receiver determines the optimum number of spatial data streams for feedback to the transmitter based on the combinations of EVMSIG and EVMDATA with or without other algorithms such as analysis on periodically requested sounding packet. The receiver also determines the optimum modulation and coding schemes for feedback based on the EVM measurements.

  • Publication number: 20090161933
Abstract: A method for reconstructing a high quality image from undersampled image data is provided. The image reconstruction method is applicable to a number of different imaging modalities. Specifically, the present invention provides an image reconstruction method that incorporates an appropriate prior image into the image reconstruction process. Thus, one aspect of the present invention is to provide an image reconstruction method that requires less number of data samples to reconstruct an accurate reconstruction of a desired image than previous methods, such as, compressed sensing. Another aspect of the invention is to provide an image reconstruction method that produces a time series of desired images indicative of a higher temporal resolution than is ordinarily achievable with the imaging system. For example, cardiac phase images can be produced with high temporal resolution (e.g., 20 milliseconds) using a CT imaging system with a slow gantry rotation speed.
