Abstract: A rack-mount server assembly includes a rack, a number of server modules received in the rack, and a cable management apparatus. The cable management apparatus includes a bracket attached to a rear end of the rack, a number of cable binding members for binding cables, and a number of cable positioning members for positioning the cables. The bracket includes an installing plate mounted to the rack, a front side plate extending from a front side of the installing plate, and a latching plate extending rearward from the front side plate. The installing plate, the front side plate, and the latching plate cooperatively bound a receiving slot for receiving the cables. The cable securing members are attached to the installing plate. The cable positioning members are mounted to the latching plate, and are arrayed in a row along a lengthwise direction of the latching plate.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus for fixing a conversion card to a motherboard of a chassis includes a main body and an assistant member. The assistant member includes a top board, and a side board to which the conversion card is fixed. The assistant member includes a handle mounted to the top board and adjacent to the conversion card. The handle is operated to move the mounting apparatus together with the conversion card away from the motherboard.

Abstract: A rack-mount server assembly includes a rack, server modules, and a cable management apparatus. The rack includes a support pole defining a number of through holes arrayed a row along a lengthwise direction of the support pole. The cable management apparatus includes a bracket, a number of cable binding members, and a number of cable positioning members. The bracket includes an installing plate mounted on an outer side surface of the rack adjacent to the support pole, a rear side plate, and an extending plate extending from the rear side plate. The cable binding members are attached to an outer surface of the installing plate. The cable positioning members are mounted on an outer surface of the extending plate. Cables of the server modules are extended through the through holes and are respectively clamped in the cable positioning members, and are then bound by the cable binding members.

Abstract: An air duct includes a base body, a pivoting member, and a fastener including a pole. The base body includes a base portion and two extension portions. The base portion includes a top plate and two side plates extending down from opposite sides of the top plate. The extension portions extend forward from front ends of the side plates. The pivoting member includes a top cover and two side covers extending down from opposite sides of the top cover. The side covers respectively abut the extension portions. A rear end of the pivoting member is rotatably connected to the base portion. When the pivoting member is rotated to one of different positions, the pole extends through one of the side covers and the corresponding extension portion to fasten the pivoting member to the base body.

Abstract: A control circuit controls a fan to cool an integrated baseboard management controller (iBMC) in a server. The control circuit includes a state determination module. When the server is powered off and the iBMC is operating, the state determination module receives low level signals from a power supply unit (PSU) and the iBMC. The state determination module connects the PSU and the fan, such that the fan is operating. When the server and the iBMC are powered off, the state determination module receives a low level signal from the PSU and a high level signal from the iBMC. The state determination module disconnects the PSU from the fan, turning the fan off. When the server is operating, the state determination module receives a high level signal from the PSU. The state determination module disconnects the PSU from the fan, turning the fan off.

Abstract: A conversion system includes a transformer, a rectifier element, a filter circuit, a voltage regulator circuit, and a divider circuit. The voltage regulator circuit includes a first option switch, a first regulator, and a second regulator. The transformer outputs an AC voltage, and the rectifier element converts the AC voltage to a pulsating DC voltage. The filter circuit converts the pulsating DC voltage to a ripple DC voltage. The divider circuit outputs a first DC voltage of a constant positive value when the first option switch connects to the first regulator, and the divider circuit connects to the first regulator to control value of the first DC voltage value. The divider circuit outputs a second DC voltage of a constant negative value when the first option switch connects the second regulator, and the divider circuit is connected to the second regulator to control value of the second DC voltage.

Abstract: A mounting device for securing a circuit board to a bottom plate of a chassis includes a positioning post, an installation member, a moving member, and a mounting member. The positioning post defines a groove. The moving member is slidably received in the installation member and includes a first driving portion. The mounting member is mounted to the installation member and prevents the moving member from sliding out of the installation member. The mounting member includes two resilient portions. The moving member is slidable relative to the mounting member. The first driving member elastically deforms the two resilient portions to be received in the groove when the moving member is slid towards the mounting member to secure the mounting member to the positioning post. The first driving portion is secured between the two resilient portions, to prevent the moving member from sliding relative to the mounting member.

Abstract: A debugging device for a terminal electronic device includes a first connector, a second connector, a processor, and a display unit. The first connector is coupled to the terminal electronic device to receive power on self test (POST) codes. The second connector is coupled to the terminal electronic device. The processor converts the received POST codes into malfunction-indicator codes, and stores the malfunction-indicator codes. The malfunction-indicator codes are displayed on the display unit, and can be transmitted to the terminal electronic device via the second connector.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of adapting different types of peripheral devices which providing a same function, includes a storage device storing a plurality of device drivers corresponding to a plurality of different type peripheral devices which provide a same function and a detecting module configured to identify one of the different type of peripheral devices connected to the electronic device, when the detecting module identifies a peripheral device connected to the device, the processor calls the device driver corresponding to the identified peripheral device from the storage device.

Abstract: An impact testing device used for testing impact resistance of electronic devices is provided. The impact testing device includes a supporting assembly for supporting the electronic device, a falling assembly for an impact head to fall through to hit the testing points of the electronic device on the supporting assembly, and a controller box, electrically connected to the supporting assembly. The controller box controls the supporting assembly to adjust the positions of the electronic device for the impact head to hit different testing points of the electronic device.

Abstract: A protection circuit for a memory control chip of a computer includes a controller, a switch circuit, a memory control chip, and a delay circuit. The controller outputs a high level control signal when the computer is in a first state, and outputs a low level control signal when the computer is in a second state. The switch circuit connects or disconnects the connection between a power pin of the memory control chip and a power terminal, according to the control signal. The delay circuit imposes a predetermined time delay for receiving a high level control signal, and outputs an enable signal to an enable pin of the memory control chip to make the memory control chip operate again, after a predetermined delay.

Abstract: A connector mounting apparatus includes a receiving bracket for receiving a connector, and a front panel. The receiving bracket includes two hooks and a positioning tab. The front panel includes a front panel body. The front panel body defines two securing holes and a positioning cutout. The two securing holes are engaged by the two hooks to prevent the receiving bracket from moving along a first direction. The front panel includes a resilient arm. The positioning tab is received in the positioning cutout. The resilient arm is adjacent to the positioning cutout to prevent the positioning tab from moving along a second direction. The resilient arm is pressed to enable the positioning tab to be moved out of the positioning cutout along the second direction. The two hooks disengage from the two securing holes when the two hooks move along the second direction.

Abstract: In a method for determining ricochet vectors of a probe of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) using a computing device, the computing device sets an approach distance between the probe and a manufactured object. Coordinates of a center of the probe and an initial vector of the probe for each measurement point of the manufactured object are obtained when the probe is manually operated to measure the manufactured object. A measurement element of the manufactured object is fit according to all measurement points of the manufactured object. For each measurement point, an approach point of the manufactured object is calculated, a position relation between the approach point and the measurement element of the manufactured object is determined, and a ricochet vector of the probe is calculated according to the position relation.

Abstract: An alarm system for a fan includes a first obtaining unit, a second obtaining unit, a storage unit, a control unit, and an alarm unit. The first obtaining unit is configured to obtain a temperature of a chip at a regular time interval. When the temperature of the chip is greater than a first predetermined value, the control unit obtains a standard speed of the fan corresponding to the temperature through the second obtaining unit, and obtains a standard speed of the fan corresponding to the temperature from the storage unit. When the number of times the speed of the fan is not in synchronization with the temperature of the CPU reaches a third predetermined value, the alarm unit sends alarm information.

Abstract: A rechargeable battery includes a plug, a first socket, a capacity storage module and a power measurement module. The plug is configured for being plugged in either a first socket of a second similar rechargeable battery to constitute a battery pack or a second socket of a charge apparatus. In addition, the first socket either is configured for either receiving a plug of a third similar rechargeable battery to constitute the battery pack or being electrically coupled to a power input port of an electronic device. The power measurement module is electrically connected to the capacity storage module, and is configured to measure a residual capacity value of the capacity storage module, and feedback the measured residual capacity value to the charge apparatus. A related power supply system is also provided.

Abstract: A system remotely monitors a number of hard disk drives (HDDs) in groups in a server. The system includes a data-obtaining unit, a protocol-analyzing unit, a storage unit, a determination unit, and an encoding and delivering unit. The data-obtaining unit obtains a status message of each HDD in a group and forms a message package including all the status messages for the HDDs of one group. The protocol-analyzing unit decodes the message package to generate a number of status codes and obtain the count of the counter. The determination unit obtains the appropriate warning message from the storage unit according to the status code and a current group number. The encoding and delivering unit delivers the warning message and the current group number.
