  • Patent number: 9002153
Abstract: The present invention relates to an optical fiber cable net including: one elongated optical fiber cable having a front end portion repeatedly moved upward and downward from the lower end portion of the left side of a bee hive-like section along a line forming the bee hive-like section, the optical fiber cable being wound by a plurality of times onto pre-disposed portions where it meets the pre-disposed portions and being moved upward or downward, so that if the front end portion of the optical fiber cable reaches the lower end portion of the right side of the bee hive-like section, the front end portion of the optical fiber cable is sequentially passed through the respective net eyes of the right side of the bee hive-like section, the respective net eyes of the upper side thereof and the respective net eyes of the left side thereof.

  • Publication number: 20080279527
Abstract: A method of high speed video playback and a video apparatus using the same sets skip durations of a number of video frames to skip and frame playback durations of a number of video frames to play back, such that different frames of the same video are displayed in each invocation of high speed playback. Accordingly, a user can see the entire duration work of the video within a short time in the high speed playback mode. As a result, user convenience is improved.

  • Publication number: 20070194915
Abstract: A sensing system using an optical fiber cable comprises a sensor unit for sensing an external intrusion, a local monitoring controller for receiving a sensing of the sensor unit and a central monitoring controller for controlling the local monitoring controller. The sensing system is reliable, and fewer effects are obtained with respect to an external environment such as a weather condition while achieving an easier installation irrespective of an installation area and an easier maintenance.

  • Publication number: 20070063176
Abstract: In a support installed at a security fence which includes a fence dividing a certain area into a security area and a non-security area and a cable net installed at an upper side of the fence, there is provided a support for a security fence, comprising a first part which has a length in a first direction and is fixed at the fence, with the first direction corresponding to a perpendicular direction of the fence; a second part which is extended in a second direction crossing the first direction, while getting further from the cable net; and a third part which is extended in a third direction crossing the second direction, while getting closer to the cable net.

  • Patent number: 7184907
Abstract: A monitoring system evaluates the integrity of a fiber optic cable, having a weave pattern and being attached to a security fence. To establish and calibrate the monitoring system, the present invention provides a system and method for establishing a look-up table to be stored in a memory. Any breakage in, bending of, or stress on the fiber optic cable is noted by the monitoring system by an alarm, and a length of cable between the monitoring system and the affected portion of the fiber optic cable is determined. The look-up table is indexed to determine a zone of potential breach. Further, an average weave density of the affected zone is computed, so that an approximate location of the potential breach within the affected zone, in terms of ground distance, can be accurately determined and displayed.

  • Patent number: 7177518
Abstract: A clip for holding a first section of fiber optic cable to a second section of fiber optic cable is useful in forming a weave pattern in a fiber optic security fence. The fiber optic security fence is constructed by forming a zigzag pattern in a fiber optic cable and attaching this pattern to an existing barrier fence, e.g. a galvanized chain-link fence. Clips are provided to hold portions of the fiber optic cable together in the zigzag pattern. The clips are formed such that, once installed, they are very difficult to remove without cutting, stressing or bending the fiber optic cable sections passing therethrough. Therefore, the clips will prevent intruders from disconnecting the pattern of the fiber optic cable, in order to cut through the barrier fence and gain entry into a secure area.

  • Patent number: 7110625
Abstract: A stress inducing device for inducing stress into a fiber optic cable is useful for detecting a person attempting to breach a security fence by climbing over the security fence. A stress inducing device is attached adjacent to a top of each fence post of the security fence. A fiber optic cable runs adjacent to a top of the security fence, and passes through each of the stress inducing devices. Once activated, a pressing member of the stress inducing device will pinch the fiber optic cable therein causing an alarm. The stress inducing device will be activated if a person leans a ladder against the fiber optic cable or the stress inducing device itself, or if a person attempts to open or tamper with the stress inducing device.
