    Abstract: First and second positioning devices disposed at first and second stationary locations transmit first and second pilot signals, respectively. Transmission coverages of the first and second pilot signals have an area of overlap. When a mobile robot moves to the area of overlap, the mobile robot determines first angular orientation information between the mobile robot and the first positioning device, and second angular orientation information between the mobile robot and the second positioning device. The mobile robot then determines an initial position of the mobile robot based on the first stationary location, the second stationary location, the first angular orientation information, and the second angular orientation information.

The control unit activates the emitting unit to emit a first direction wireless signal when the receiving unit receives the encoded ultrasonic wave. The cleaning robot passes according to the first direction wireless signal.

A first receiving device receives an emitted light from a base station and obtains a direction from a start position, which the moving device is in to the base station according to the emitted light to serve as a target direction. A driving device drives the moving device to move in the target direction from the start position. When the moving device meets a first obstacle which is disposed along the target direction and in the target area, a second receiving device obtains a distance between the moving device and the base station according to the received emitted light to serve as a middle distance. When a determination device determines that the middle distance is not equal to a predetermined distance, the driving device drives the moving device to detour around the first obstacle and move in the target direction continuously.

    Abstract: A control device including a signal emitter, a signal receiver, and a processing unit is disclosed. The signal emitter emits an output signal including a first output component and a second output component. The signal receiver receives an input signal. The input signal includes a reflected component when the first output component is reflected by an object. The input signal includes an emitted component when the second output component is received by the signal receiver. The processing unit compares a first threshold value with the amplitude of the input signal and compares a second threshold value with the amplitude of the input signal when the input signal simultaneously includes the reflected component and the emitted component. The processing unit differentiates the reflected component and the emitted component and invalidates the emitted component according to the compared results.
