  • Publication number: 20170335478
Abstract: The present invention discloses an electro-deposition process, an electro-deposition bath, and a method for preparing a rare earth permanent magnetic material through electro-deposition. The electro-deposition process is used for depositing a heavy rare earth element on the surface of a sintered R2-T-B type master alloy, and comprises Step 1: providing an electro-deposition bath, comprising a main salt containing the heavy rare earth element, an induction salt for inducing the heavy rare earth element to deposit, and an organic ionic liquid as the solvent, wherein the main salt is a tetrafluoroborate of the heavy rare earth element; and Step 2: electroplating the sintered R2-T-B type master alloy in the electro-deposition bath at a temperature of 0 to 200° C.

  • Patent number: 9800367
Abstract: A method improves an anti-eavesdropping (AE)-shelter that emits interference signals that protect communication between legitimate transmitters and legitimate receivers in the AE-shelter. The method includes determining a circular boundary for the AE-shelter; improving the AE-shelter by uniformly placing a number of jammers at the boundary; tuning emitting power of the jammers; and improving a coverage area of the interference signals.

  • Patent number: 6319868
Abstract: Porous zirconia or zirconium-containing particles, methods of making such particles and methods of using such particles including modifications to the surface of the particles are described. The method comprises heating zirconia particles to provide a substantially homogeneously liquid melt, quenching the particles of melt to effect spinodal decomposition to provide quench particles of a silica rich phase and a zirconia rich phase, annealing the quenched particles to provide non porous solid particles of zirconia and silica and, leaching the silica from these particles to produce porous solid zirconia particles comprising a three dimensionally substantially continuous interpenetrating network of interconnected pores.

  • Patent number: 4665367
Abstract: In a magnetic resonance imaging system, a multiplexing technique is used to image volumetric regions by performing a number of scans within the recovery time of the spin systems. The multiple scans acquire signal information from sub-regional volumes by phase-encoding in the direction of the excitation gradient.

  • Patent number: 4661775
Abstract: In an NMR system, two chemical shift components are separated by correcting NMR data for field inhomogeneity. A first image data set is acquired which contains no chemical shift information or field inhomogeneity. A second image data set is acquired which contains both chemical shift information and field inhomogeneity. A third image data set is acquired which contains field inhomogeneity information. The first and third image data sets are combined to identify the field inhomogeneity information. This intermediate field image is then used to correct the second image data set for field inhomogeneity. The first image data set and corrected second image data set may then be combined by magnitude reconstruction of complex sums and differences to separate the two chemical shift components.

  • Patent number: 4649346
Abstract: In an NMR imaging system, an image plane is scanned and NMR signals are collected over a plurality of image lines. The experiment is repeated, with the timing of the excitation pulses changed. Images are formed by performing Fourier transformations of the signal values. A ratio image is then formed by performing a complex division of the two images on a pixel by pixel basis. The ratio values cancel phase error effects in the image data and the use of complex numbers maintains the proper pixel polarity.

  • Patent number: 4616182
Abstract: In an NMR imaging system, two-pulse excitation sequences are used to acquire lines of NMR signal information. Artifact signal components may also be present during the times of NMR signal acquisition. In order to remove these artifacts from the center of the image, the artifact signals are alternately phase-encoded from line to line by alternating the phase of one of said excitation pulses from line to line. Fourier transformation is performed on the lines of information in at least the direction of alternate phasing of the artifact components, which relocates the artifacts to the edge of the resulting image.
