  • Patent number: 11893257
Abstract: A system may include a memory and a processor in communication with the memory configured to perform operations. The may operations include obtaining transaction logs in blocks from nodes of a data storage system. The operations may include, for each transaction log, splitting the transaction log into log entries, grouping log entries into groups associated with a same data source, and writing the log entries of the groups to empty blocks such that log entries from different groups do not share a same block. The operations may include identifying a same sequence of log entries from the written transaction logs and uploading first blocks of a first transaction log, including the same sequence of log entries, to an object-based storage without uploading second blocks of a second transaction log including the same sequence of log entries to the object-based storage.

  • Patent number: 11822547
Abstract: Shared materialized views are maintained during data changes to the primary data and during creation of new materialized views. Shared data stored for use by shared materialized views is distinguished from data stored by an independent materialized view. A view selector manages data updates to shared materialized views and corresponding mapping table. The view selector directs movement of data between a shared materialized view and an independent materialized view through the lifecycle of the materialized views.

  • Publication number: 20230254147
Abstract: In an approach, a processor receives, at an edge node, a message from an IoT device associated with the edge node, the message being embedded with at least one non-fungible token (NFT) and each of the at least one NFT representing a corresponding authorization associated with the IoT device. A processor retrieves, at the edge node, the at least one NFT from the received message. A processor validates, at the edge node, the received message based on the retrieved at least one NFT. A processor, responsive to validating the received message, forwards, by the edge node, the received message to a center node associated with the edge node.

  • Patent number: 11645066
Abstract: Aspects include applying a patch to a first instance of software code and verifying that the first instance of the software code with the patch applied is operating as expected. The verifying includes sending a request to the first instance of the software code and sending the request to a second instance of the software code where the patch was previously applied. The verifying also includes comparing a first result received from the first instance of the software code in response to the request and a second result received from the second instance of the software code in response to the request. The verifying further includes determining that the first instance of the software code with the patch applied is operating as expected based on the first result being within a similarity threshold of the second result.

  • Patent number: 11366765
Abstract: In an approach to optimizing metadata management to boost overall system performance, a cache for a storage system is initialized. Responsive to receiving a cache hit from a host cache during a host I/O operation, a first metadata of a plurality of metadata is transferred to a storage cache, where the first metadata is associated with a user data from the host I/O operation, and further wherein the first metadata is deleted from the host cache. Responsive to determining that the storage cache is full, a second metadata of the plurality of metadata is destaged from the storage cache, where the second metadata is destaged by moving the second metadata to the host cache, and further wherein the second metadata is deleted from the storage cache.

  • Patent number: 6527421
Abstract: There is provided a lampshade frame that shifts between an erect, use configuration and a collapsed configuration for shipping, packaging and/or storage. The frame includes an upper hoop and a lower hoop with segmented ribs extending between the hoops. Each of the segmented ribs includes at least two segments that are interconnected by a sleeve that allows them to shift between an extended position, where the length of the rib is maximized for erecting the lampshade, and a retraced state, where the length of the rib is shortened for collapsing the lampshade. The sleeve also locks the ribs in the extended state against unintentional collapse of the lampshade frame.

  • Publication number: 20030022813
Abstract: Markedly enhanced activity of pacemaker (hyperpolarization-activated, cation-nonselective, HCN) ion channels governs spontaneous firing in sensory cells of allodynic rats. An HCN ion channel specific blocker, ZD7288, dose-dependently and completely suppresses allodynia. Nerve injury increases the population of large DRG neurons expressing a high density of Ih and modulates HCN mRNA expression. New methods of treating pain by targeting HCN pacemaker channels are developed. In addition, new methods for identifying compositions useful for treating pain are disclosed.
