  • Patent number: 8106898
Abstract: A system for compensating for skew in a color video signal transmitted by a cable having multiple conductors is described. A test pulse signal (e.g. a 2 MHz signal) is inserted into the color components (e.g. RGB) of the video signal during time periods in each frame when the RGB video signals are inactive, such as within 300 ?s after the V sync signal. After transmission over the cable, the RGB components with the inserted test signal are delayed relative to each other using a delay line in cooperation with a control circuit. The delay line generates detect signals by detecting relative delays of the test signal pulses inserted in the RGB components. The control circuit controls the amount of delay in the delay line based on the detect signals, so that the RGB components in the video signal outputted by the delay line are synchronized.

  • Publication number: 20110057881
Abstract: Disclosed is a KVM management system and method of providing synchronization signal adaptable depending one user's demand. The KVM management system includes a first module and a second module. The first module converts a first type of synchronization signal selected from a first group of synchronization signal combinations into a transitional signal. The second module converts the transitional signal into a second type of synchronization signal selected from a second group of synchronization signal combinations for the display. The transitional signal may be a composite synchronization signal combines one of red, green, blue video signals from the computer and carried on at least one pair of wire in an Ethernet network cable. The type of transitional signal can be predetermined by adjusting a first register stored in the first module. The second type of synchronization signal can be predetermined by adjusting a second register stored in the second module.

  • Patent number: 7350091
Abstract: A control apparatus for controlling a plurality of computers is described. The control apparatus includes a memory, a clock generator, a clock switch circuit, and a main module. The clock switch circuit switches between a system clock and a corresponding clock of a digital video signal. The main module directly stores the digital video signal into the memory according to the corresponding clock through the clock switch circuit. The main module reads the digital video signal from the memory according to the system clock. The main module also receives a remote control signal sent from a remote computer to control the plurality of computers.
