  • Publication number: 20030157367
Abstract: There are provided novel blue light-emitting organic electroluminescent polymers having a main chain consisting of 9,10-diphenylanthracene and vinylene, and electroluminescent devices using the same. With the introduction of substituents which are of high thermal stability and are capable of steric hindrance at the alpha position of the vinyl group, the electroluminescent polymers make it easy to conduct inter- and intra-molecular energy transfer, and the injection and transportation of holes or electrons, as well as restraining &pgr;-stacking between polymer chains. Also, the prevention of intermolecular two- and three-dimensional interference by the introduced bulky substituents leads to reduced extinction of excitons, whereby the organic electroluminescent device can emit blue light at high luminous efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6507935
Abstract: An automated method of analyzing crosstalk in a digital logic integrated circuit on a digital computer is described. The method uses available software to make an extracted, parameterized netlist from a layout of the integrated circuit. The netlist has gate and black box invocations as well as transistor invocations. Library models are used to find driving resistances and capacitances associated with the gate and black-box invocations. For at least one potential victim wire of the plurality of wires, a subset of the wires of the chip are found to be potential aggressor wires to the victim wire. The aggressor wires are combined into a common aggressor. A risetime of the common aggressor is calculated and used to calculate the magnitude of coupled noise on the victim wire induced by the aggressor wires. An alarm threshold for each potential victim wire is determined based upon the type of logic gate that receives the victim wire.

  • Patent number: 6296591
Abstract: A traction drive type driving apparatus is provided, by which any particular pressing mechanism is unnecessary, by which a big deformation can be obtained easily, in which decreasing degree of the pressing load is extremely small against small amount of abrasion, in which the test for confirming the pressing load at a desired amount can be done easily, and which has a readily constructible hollow structure. The traction drive type driving apparatus comprises an externally contacting shaft (2) located at the center, a plurality of intermediate shafts (1) equidistantly disposed around and externally contacting with the externally contacting shaft (2), and an internally contacting cylinder (3) internally contacting with the intermediate shafts (1), at least one of the intermediate shafts offset from the center is an input shaft, and the externally contacting shaft (2) is a ring-like hollow cylinder and is held by the intermediate shafts (1) to form a floating ring without disposing any particular bearing.

  • Patent number: 5678835
Abstract: A three-wheeled vehicle has an auxiliary steering system which is made up of a front frame, a rear frame, a bearing element, a gear set, and a transmission element. The gear set comprises a first gear and a second gear. The first gear is fastened with the front frame while the second gear is fastened rotatably with the rear frame such that the second gear is engageable directly or indirectly with the first gear. The front frame can be caused to swivel in relation to the rear frame by means of the second gear which is actuated by an angular motion of the front fork of the vehicle when the handlebar of the vehicle is turned. The transmission element serves to transmit the angular motion of the front fork to the second gear. The auxiliary steering system is therefore capable of causing the center of gravity of a rider of the vehicle in motion to move toward a direction in which the handlebar of the vehicle is turned, thereby causing the centrifugal force exerting on the vehicle rider to be canceled out.
