  • Publication number: 20240093399
Abstract: Provided is a method for electrowinning neodymium compound. The method includes providing a fluoride-based electrolyte through an opening defined in an electrolytic bath including a cathode and an anode. The method includes providing granules, each including a neodymium compound and having at least one cavity defined therein, through the opening defined in the electrolytic bath. The method includes dissolving at least a portion of the granule in a molten salt of the fluoride-based electrolyte. The method also includes reducing neodymium at the cathode. The cavity is defined inside or on the surface of the granule, and the apparent density of the granules is lower than the density of the molten salt. The method proposed has an improved process compared to those of the related art.

  • Patent number: 9340419
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and related system of regenerating a raw material for a hydrogen supply system of a fuel cell. The method includes reacting aluminum and a metal hydroxide to produce hydrogen in the hydrogen supply system of a fuel cell; and recovering an aluminum compound produced simultaneously with the hydrogen in the reaction. An aluminum hydroxide is obtained from the aluminum compound. The aluminum hydroxide is heat-treated to obtain an aluminum oxide. The aluminum oxide is reduced to obtain aluminum. The obtained aluminum is re-supplied as a raw material for producing the hydrogen.

  • Patent number: 9169119
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus for producing fuel for a fuel cell car which includes: a main reaction chamber including an aluminum coil and configured to produce gas; a sub-chamber including a sodium aqueous solution, the sub-chamber in fluid communication with the main reaction chamber to communicate the produced gas; a circulation pump configured to supply a sodium hydroxide aqueous solution in the sub-chamber to the main reaction chamber when producing the fuel, and further configured to return the sodium hydroxide aqueous solution in the main reaction chamber to the sub-chamber when stopping production of the fuel; and a separator configured to separate hydrogen gas from the produced gas, and supply the hydrogen gas to a fuel cell.
