    Abstract: A control circuit, control method used in a PFC circuit and the power source system thereof are disclosed herein. The control circuit comprises: a zero current detection circuit having a polarity detection circuit for outputting a first and a second digital signals and a signal conversion circuit for generating an analog signal; a feedback circuit for generating a driving pulse signal; and a pulse distribution circuit for distributing the driving pulse signal to a first and a second switches according to the first and the second digital signal. After a switch cycle, one of the first and the second switch performs an ON operation for the next switch cycle when the current flowing through the inductor decreases to a predetermined threshold value, wherein an ON time of the first switch is equal in each switch cycle, and an ON time of the second switch is equal in each switch cycle.

    Abstract: A magnetic bead-based digital microfluidic immunoanalysis device and a method thereof are provided, which includes a lower plate, an upper plate disposed above the lower plate, a separating structure therebetween and a magnet disposed on the upper plate or the lower plate. The lower plate includes a first electrode layer including a plurality of channel electrodes with different sizes. A droplet containing few magnetic beads is adapted to be disposed on the lower plate and corresponding to the channel electrodes. The magnet attracts the magnetic beads to approach to the smaller one of the channel electrodes though a magnetic force, and when a voltage is applied to the first electrode layer, the droplet is divided to a detection portion with the magnetic beads and a waste-liquid portion without the magnetic beads respectively corresponding to the smaller one and the larger one of the channel electrodes through a dual-direction electrowetting-on-dielectric force.

    Abstract: A combustor applied in thermophotovoltaic system comprises a combustion device and a reversed tube covering the combustion device. The combustion device includes a combustion body made of a transparent and temperature resistant material and a burning unit disposed in the combustion body. When a burning-supported medium is adopted during burning via the burning unit, the radiant intensity is increased. The reversed tube then further redirects the hot product gas for reheating an outer wall of the combustion body in combustion. Therefore, uniform illumination is accordingly resulted for enhancing the radiant intensity. Accordingly, a photovoltaic cell plate connected to the combustor preferably transforms light into electricity. The present invention fully utilizes a micro system as well as miniature energy to offer advanced electricity.

    Abstract: A DC/DC converter, a power converter and a control method thereof are disclosed, where the DC/DC converter includes an output circuit, a rectangular wave generator, a resonant tank, a detection unit and a control unit. The output circuit has a load. The rectangular wave generator converts an input voltage into at least one rectangular wave. The resonant tank provides a first voltage based on the rectangular wave for the output circuit. The detection unit detects a signal related to a state of the load. When the state of the load is light-load or a no-load, the control unit controls a working frequency or a duty ratio of the rectangular wave, so that the duty ratio of the rectangular wave is within a predetermined range, in which a voltage gain of the DC/DC converter is greater than another voltage gain under the condition of 50% duty ratio.

    Abstract: The present disclosure illustrates a platform system for in vitro cell co-cultivation with automatic trapping function. The platform system aims to develop a bio-chip applied in cell culture systems, and has several features. The first feature is that this co-cultivation platform can construct a micro environment suitable for culture of various cells. The second feature is dynamic perfusion. The microfluidic system is used to dynamically replace the culture medium, in order to maintain an appropriate environment for the growth of cells. The third feature is the automatic trapping. The cells to be cultured can be trapped in a suitable location according to the flow resistance, so that the damaged on the cell caused by manual operation can be minimized.

    Abstract: A power factor correction (PFC) circuit includes an AC power, a first bridge arm and a second bridge arm. The first bridge arm includes first and second switches connected in series with each other. A second terminal of the first switch is connected to a first terminal of the second switch, and coupled to a first end of the AC power via a first inductor. The second bridge arm includes third and fourth switches connected in series with each other. A second terminal of the third switch is connected to a first terminal of the fourth switch and a second end of the AC power. The third and fourth switches operate in ON/OFF states by use of a control signal having an operation frequency consistent with that of the AC power. The on-state resistance of the third and fourth switches is lower than that of the first or second switch.

    Abstract: Today's cloud software, especially cloud management software, faces a complex, distributed, cross platform environment with extremely diversified software components. Cloud Connection Pool (CCP) is a technique to obtain a connection in such an environment and is more complex than a traditional connection pool. CCP allows requesting components to establish connections to target components. CCP uses cloud mapping data that associates cloud components with each other and stores pool data that identifies connection pools for components (or “managing components”) that manage target components. In response to a request for a connection from a requesting component, the CCP determines a managing component that is associated with the requested target component and identifies (or creates) a connection pool that is associated with the managing component. The CCP then retrieves a connection from the connection pool and returns the connection to the requesting component.

When the state of the load is a light-load or a no-load, the control unit controls the rectangular wave generator in a hiccup mode to reduce a ratio of a work period to a stop period, or makes that number of the driving pulses within the current work period is less than the number of the driving pulses when a duty ratio is 50%.

    Abstract: A single-fiber bi-directional optical transceiver includes a bi-directional optical subassembly (BOSA) body and a fiber connecting sleeve connected to the BOSA body. The BOSA body contains a laser diode, a photodiode in a photodiode housing, and a splitter. The fiber connecting sleeve contains a connecting ferrule. A band pass filter is between the splitter and the photodiode, and the photodiode, band pass filter and reflection path of the splitter are coaxial and/or in series. Also, a coupling lens is between the splitter and the connecting ferrule, and the laser diode, splitter, coupling lens and connecting ferrule are coaxial and/or in series. In the single-fiber bi-directional optical transceiver, no fiber stub is present, thereby reducing the cost and/or size of the transceiver. By providing a coupling lens between the splitter and the connecting ferrule, the size of the BOSA body can be further reduced, thereby realizing a smaller package size.

    Abstract: A single-fiber bi-directional optical transceiver includes a laser diode, a photodiode, a splitter, a band filter between the splitter and the photodiode, a fiber optic connector, a first coupling lens between the laser diode and the splitter, a second coupling lens between the splitter and the fiber optic connector, and a shield plate having a run-through hole therein. The laser diode, the first coupling lens, the splitter, the second coupling lens and the fiber optic connector are coaxial and/or in series, and the photodiode, the band filter and the reflection path of the splitter are coaxial and/or in series. The shield plate is configured to stop wide-angle reflected light from being absorbed by the photodiode, while narrow-angle reflected light is isolated by the band filter. Thus, the single-fiber bi-directional optical transceiver can effectively reduce, avoid or eliminate crosstalk.
