The UE device transmits or receives, during a second time interval, a second portion of data to or from the wireless network though a second wireless link. An end of first time interval is offset from a beginning of the second time interval by the offset length of time.

A format of the DCI is received from the base station. The DCI includes multiple bit strings indicating a schedule of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The format specifies a respective number of bits for each bit string. The format is defined by the base station based on the type of the wireless device. The DCI is received from the base station using a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The multiple bit strings are extracted from the DCI based on the format of the DCI.

A method for performing an assay includes flowing cells and a first aqueous medium into a plurality of microwells of a microfluidic device, wherein each microwell includes a cell trap structure configured to trap at least one cell. The method further comprises flowing a nonpolar fluid with low permeability for analytes of interest through a microfluidic channel to flush a portion of the first aqueous medium from the microfluidic channel while retaining another portion of the first aqueous medium and at least one cell within each microwell. Surface tension at a non-polar/polar medium interface prevents molecule exchange between interior and exterior portions of microwells.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a process for identifying and extracting pain-related electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. The process comprises receiving, from one or more trials, EEG data for each trial; determining a current density for each signal; estimating the current density for a set of neural activity regions of interest, based on the computed current density; and computing at least one spectrum characteristic for each trial based on the estimated current density. Thus mean and variance of changes in the EEG data between EEG data labeled as being indicative of a pain state and EEG data labeled as being indicative of a non-pain state, for each neural activity region of interest can be calculated, and pain-related EEG signals can be identified based on at least one a region of interest at which the variance is below a predetermined threshold.
