    Abstract: A control unit of the article processing terminal controls a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader of the article processing terminal to periodically scan a plurality of short-range articles. In response to a status change of an article of the plurality of short-range articles, the control unit receives an article identifier of the article from the RFID reader. The control unit controls a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) module of the article processing terminal to send an article change message to a LPWAN gateway, where the article change message includes the article identifier and an address of an application server, and where the LPWAN gateway instructs, based on the article change message and the address, the application server to perform a next processing step on the article identified by the article identifier.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for accessing user resources in a virtual private cloud (VPC) using a serverless function within a network architecture includes instantiating a first warm application container for hosting the serverless function. The first warm application container includes a runtime language library without function code of the serverless function. A virtual machine for hosting a Port Address Translation (PAT) gateway is instantiated. The PAT gateway includes a first interface to the VPC and a second interface to the first warm application container. In response to detecting a trigger event for triggering the serverless function, the function code of the serverless function is mounted within the first warm application container. During execution of the function code from the first warm application container, VPC-addressed network packets associated with the serverless function are routed to the VPC via the second interface and the first interface within the PAT gateway.

A face image of an in-vehicle user and a geographic location of the in-vehicle user are received at a point of a ride route traveled by a vehicle occupied by the in-vehicle user. An image set associated with the geographic location is received from an image database using the geographic location of the in-vehicle user. The image set includes face images of a plurality of users. The face image of the in-vehicle user is compared with face images in the image set to determine an identity of the in-vehicle user. A fare deduction account corresponding to the in-vehicle user is identified using the identity of the in-vehicle user. A fare corresponding to the ride route is deducted from the fare deduction account.

At least one pixel forms a pixel unit, and longitudinally adjacent pixel units are arranged in a vertical mirror image, and/or laterally adjacent pixel units are arranged in a horizontal mirror image. The present disclosure may increase the area of mask opening during evaporation, reduce the difficulty of mask production process, and reduce the evaporation process difficulty by a reasonable pixel arrangement structure and allowing sub-pixels of adjacent pixels to share one mask opening to evaporate. It does not need to preset a gap during evaporating the sub-pixels of adjacent pixels of the mask, thereby a real high PPI is achieved while keeping the opening ratio. In addition, the present disclosure can further increase the strength of the mask.

    Abstract: Processes and compositions are described for preparing new, colloidally stable, coated nanomagnetic particles useful for both in-vitro and in-vivo biomedical applications, including cell targeting and capturing cells, microorganisms, and cellular organelles or entities such as exosomes. These nanomagnetic particles can also be used as imaging contrast agents due to their small size and high magnetic moment. The nanomagnetic particles include a series of sequentially added, stabilizing surface coatings rendered onto nano-sized magnetic crystal clusters (e.g., magnetite particles) to impart colloidal stability in complex biological samples with minimal leaching of the coating materials, high binding capacity, and low non-specific binding. Another benefit of this invention is the ability to utilize both external and internal magnetic field-generating separation devices to effect separation of the magnetic nanoparticles.

    Abstract: Techniques for reducing neighbor word line interference (NWI) of memory cells which are formed in a two-tier stack having a lower tier and an upper tier separated by an interface. In one approach, an upward word line programming order is used for a top portion of the top tier, and a downward word line programming order is used for a bottom portion of the top tier and for the bottom tier. Additionally, for memory cells which receive NWI from both adjacent word lines, options include programming fewer bits per cell, performing multi-pass programming and/or use lower verify voltages. Options also include increasing a control gate length of the memory cells and increasing a height of a dielectric region adjacent to the memory cells.
