  • Publication number: 20060268880
Abstract: The present invention provides a method, a mobile terminal device and a system for determining a transmission power factor. During an uplink of data between a mobile terminal device and a base station via a code division multiple access (CDMA) system supported by automatic repeat request (ARQ) first transmission containing original data and re-transmissions of different order containing supplementary information are communicated. The i-th re-transmissions are based on the automatic repeat request (ARQ). The transmission power factor to be determined is operable with an i-th re-transmission. A first and a second error quantity are obtained from an evaluation of status information items received in accordance with the automatic repeat request (ARQ). The first error quantity and the second error quantity allow for deriving an i-th error ratio so as to calculate a transmission power correction factor.

  • Patent number: 7013916
Abstract: An apparatus for containing and delivering hazardous gases at sub-atmospheric pressure from a pressurized container is provided which includes a valve body in sealed communication with an outlet orifice of the pressurized container. The outlet orifice of the pressurized container is open to an interior chamber of the pressurized container. A fluid discharge path is located in the valve body, between the outlet orifice of the pressurized container and an outlet orifice of the valve body. A pressure regulator having a pressure sensing means capable of responding to sub-atomospheric pressure, is integral to the valve body, in-line in the fluid discharge path with the pressure regulator pre-set to a pressure below atmospheric pressure to allow the gas to be delivered through the regulator from the interior chamber only when the pressure regulator senses a downstream pressure at or below the pre-set pressure.

  • Patent number: 6843656
Abstract: An omnidirectionally adjustable wall lamp plug is disclosed. A conductor element has a vertical surface at the lateral side thereof. The conductor element is formed by bending from a body of the conductor element. A contact element has a vertical side at the lateral side thereof. The union end of one pin in the plug base resists against the vertical surface of the conductor element, and a buckling edge along each of the two sides of the union end is inserted into the plug base. A connection washer end is bent from one end of a small pin resists against the vertical surface of the conductor element. Thereby, when the wall lamp rotates through 360 degrees. The electric power is still supplied so as to achieve the object of omnidirectional adjustment.

  • Patent number: 6648021
Abstract: A modular gas control device for use with a compressed gas cylinder (111) comprises a primary module (152) and a secondary module (252) mounted on the primary module. The primary module comprises a first supporting body (154) having a first main gas flow path (155) through the body. The supporting body has input connecting means (156) for mounting the body on the cylinder (111) and connecting the gas flow path (155) to communicate with the gas cylinder through a first flow path (157). Pressure reducing means (166) provides gas in the flow path at a lower pressure than in the container. Output connecting means (170) downstream of the pressure reducing means provides a low pressure outlet from the main gas flow path. A high pressure shut-off valve (164) is positioned upstream of the pressure reducing means, and filling means (161, 160) allows filling of the cylinder with compressed gas through the input connecting means (156) along a second flow path (159) separate from the input flow path (157).

  • Patent number: 6572688
Abstract: Gas is admitted to an in-container purification unit 202 via an inlet 212 located at or near the gas discharge end 220 of the unit. This feature is advantageous because it allows a liquefied gas container to be filled to a level above the second end of the body of the unit without the problem of dispensing liquefied gas.

  • Publication number: 20020168881
Abstract: An omnidirectionally adjustable wall lamp plug, wherein a conductor element having at its lateral end a vertical surface formed by bending and a contact element having at its lateral end a vertical side formed by bending are inserted into the wall lamp body. The union end of one prong in the plug base is against and in continuity with the vertical surface of the conductor element, with a retaining edge along each of the two sides of the union end enslotted in the plug base, and a connection washer end formed by bending at one extremity of a small-ended prong is situated against the vertical surface of the conductor element. As such, when the wall lamp of the present invention is rotated 360 degrees, the supply of electric current is maintained to achieve omnidirectional adjustment while the wall lamp is operating.

  • Publication number: 20020063588
Abstract: Clocks on and off an integrated circuit chip are aligned to that clocks on the chip are synchronized to one of the rising and falling edges of a master clock and those off the chip are synchronized to the other of the rising and falling edges of the master clock. This permits a certain ease of interfacing circuits controlled by those clocks. Programmable clocks on the chip can be reprogrammed during operation to conserve power.

  • Publication number: 20020038324
Abstract: A sinc filter is implemented by partitioning 1 bit wide incoming data into multibit words. The multibit words are multiplied by respective coefficient sets. Some multibit words are twisted by inverting the bit order and the multiplied using the same coefficient sets used for untwisted words. Multiplications are implemented using either look up tables or logic and the filter is implemented using only shifts and additions. The sinc filter is particularly useful applications in the field of data acquisition and particularly in the area of seismic sensing.
