  • Publication number: 20240056270
Abstract: The techniques described herein relate to methods, apparatus, and computer readable media configured to schedule individual orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) resources on an upstream channel to serve a data transmission request from a downstream device. A schedule for a set of available resources on the upstream channel to serve the data transmission request is generated, based on a dynamic bit loading profile, including generating data indicative of a first bit loading profile for a first set of resources from the set of available resources for a first burst, and data indicative of a second bit loading profile for a second set of resources from the set of available resources for a second burst. The schedule is transmitted to a downstream device, such that the downstream device is configured to encode the first burst using the first bit loading profile and the second burst using the second bit loading profile.

  • Patent number: 11451325
Abstract: A block generation method and apparatus, and a block receiving method and apparatus are disclosed. The block generation method includes: generating a first block and a second block, where the first block includes a first block unit, the second block includes a second block unit, a first indicator is configured in the first block unit, and the first indicator is used to indicate whether the second block unit is a control code; and sending the first block and the second block. According to this method, an indicator is configured in a block unit in the first block to indicate whether an adjacent block is a control code, so that a boundary between a control code and a data code is determined, thereby avoiding extra indication information for an indication and reducing overheads of the indication information.

  • Patent number: 7020394
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a shortest path between a source node and a destination node in an optical network of nodes interconnected with optical transmission links is disclosed. A wavelength graph is used to represent an optical network as a set of electronic nodes and optical channel nodes corresponding to the network nodes with a set of internal links and optical channel links. The electronic node represents the electronic switching fabric that interconnects OEO equipment within a physical node. A single-source shortest path algorithm (e.g., Dijkstra's algorithm) is applied to the wavelength graph to determine a shortest path. The transformation of the network representation to include the electronic node greatly reduces the number of links in the wavelength graph and significantly increases the computational efficiency.
