The method comprises mounting a centralized storage volume on a host in response to boot-up of a virtual machine on the host. The method further comprises obtaining unique information assigned to the virtual machine. In addition, the method comprises retrieving public and private configuration for the virtual machine from the centralized storage volume based on the obtained unique information, the public and private configuration being applied in the boot-up of the virtual machine on the host.

The heat sink includes a plurality of upwardly extending first fins and a plurality of laterally extending second fins located below the first fins. A plurality of first airflow channels are defined in the adjacent first fins and a plurality of second airflow channels are defined in the adjacent second fins. The fan duct guides a significant part of the airflow produced by the fan to the second airflow channels from a lateral side of the heat sink to have a sufficient contact with the second fins of the heat sink.

The fan includes a plurality of ears extending outwardly from a circumference thereof. The fan guard includes a frame and a hood made of net and mounted over the frame in a stretched manner. The frame includes a plurality of concentrically arranged annular ribs and a plurality of supporters connecting the annular ribs together. The annular ribs are spaced apart with predetermined spacing along an axial direction. A lowest one of the ribs of the frame is bent to form a plurality of fastening feet for extension of screws to threadedly engage with the ears of the fan. The hood has an outwardly convex periphery due to the configuration of the annular ribs.

Each fin assembly defines cutouts at opposite ends thereof. The fan holder includes a top plate and a pair of vertical, downward-extending baffle walls. A pair of clamping arms extends from each baffle wall and inserted into the cutouts of the fin assemblies. Screws extend through the top plate to engage in holes defined in the fin assemblies and communicating with the cutouts. A vaulted operating plate is formed by the top plate for a user to grip to conveniently transport the heat dissipation device.
