    Abstract: A method for a luminance and chrominance correction. The method may include: image input data is acquired; a first correction on the image input data is performed, to obtain a first correction result; and a second correction is performed on to the first correction result, to obtain a second correction result, wherein the first correction is one of multiple layers of luminance correction and at least one layer of chrominance correction, and the second correction is the other of the multiple layers of the luminance correction and the at least one layer of the chrominance correction. The method solves a technical problem that the display uniformity of different grayscales still cannot be effectively improved when luminance and chrominance differences are solved in the related art.

    Abstract: An image adjustment method comprises: generate a grayscale value of a target pixel by weighted averaging a plurality of input sub-pixel data of the target pixel; calculate an average of grayscale values of all pixels comprising the target pixel in a first window to generate a foreground value of the target pixel; calculate an average of grayscale values of all pixels comprising the target pixel in a second window to generate a background value of the target pixel; according to the foreground value of the target pixel and the background value of the target pixel, obtain a just-noticeable difference value in a look-up table as a grayscale difference value; generate an adjusted grayscale value of the target pixel according to the grayscale difference value; and generate a plurality of output sub-pixel data according to the plurality of input sub-pixel data of the target pixel and the adjusted grayscale value.

    Abstract: A dual cell LCD apparatus that includes a LCD display panel, a backlight circuit and a dual cell LCD control circuit. The LCD display panel includes a back cell and a front cell. The dual cell LCD control circuit includes a back cell control circuit, a backlight control circuit and a front cell control circuit. The back cell control circuit retrieves a plurality of luminance and color parameters of a display frame data to further generate back cell control parameters to control the back cell layer. The backlight control circuit performs a statistics analysis of the display frame data according to the luminance and color parameters to further generate a plurality of duty parameters to control the backlight circuit. The front cell control circuit performs an intensity compensation on the front cell according to the luminance and color parameters, the duty parameters and the display frame data.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a backlight control method for motion blur reduction, a backlight module and a display apparatus using the same. The backlight control method includes the following steps. An input frame including image blocks is received. A brightness level of each of the image blocks is determined to accordingly determine a local dimming value of each backlight block, where the backlight blocks respectively correspond to the image blocks. A boosted backlight value and a dimmed backlight value for each of the backlight blocks are computed according to the local dimming values. The backlight blocks are driven according to the boosted backlight values and the dimmed backlight values in a time sequence.
