    Abstract: A method for treating a sample for liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry and a use of surface hydrophilic magnetic beads for treating a sample for liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. The method comprises contacting a sample by using surface hydrophilic magnetic beads and a precipitant to form precipitated-magnetic bead aggregates, and applying a magnetic field to remove the precipitated-magnetic bead aggregates. The described sample treatment method may be used in sample preparation or pretreatment for mass spectrometry or liquid chromatography, especially liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry.
