Publication number: 20220155196Abstract: This disclosure describes an in-situ surrounding rock testing device and method. The testing device includes a collection device and a control terminal. The collection device includes a pressure cell, displacement meters and a magnetic base. When mechanical properties of surrounding rock are tested, the collection device is only necessary to be installed on an outer surface of a gripper of a TBM. The outer surface of the gripper is coupled to a rear end surface of the magnetic base; a front end surface of the pressure cell and displacement meters are in contact with the surrounding rock. The pressure cell measures pressures undergone by the surrounding rock. The displacement meters measure a total compaction displacement of the surrounding rock relative to the collection device. A pressure-displacement curve of the surrounding rock can be obtained by the testing device while pressing the gripper tightly against the surrounding rock.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2021Publication date: May 19, 2022Inventors: Yadong Xue, Rundong Zhang, Jiaxuan Wang, Yongqiang Fan, Hongfei Zhang, Mingliang Zhou, Liyun XUE

Patent number: 11138285Abstract: A computer-implemented technique receives an input expression that a user submits with an intent to accomplish some objective. The technique then uses a machine-trained intent encoder component to map the input expression into an input expression intent vector (IEIV). The IEIV corresponds to a distributed representation of the intent associated with the input expression, within a vector intent vector space. The technique then leverages the intent vector to facilitate some downstream application task, such as the retrieval of information. Some application tasks also use a neighbor search component to find expressions that express an intent similar to that of the input expression. A training system trains the intent encoder component based on the nexus between queries and user clicks, as recorded in a search engine's search log.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2019Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Hongfei Zhang, Xia Song, Chenyan Xiong, Corbin Louis Rosset, Paul Nathan Bennett, Nicholas Eric Craswell, Saurabh Kumar Tiwary
