Abstract: A system and method for determining vehicle repositioning data for a vehicle pool. The system is configured to perform the method, and the method includes: training a value function using historical ride sharing data; obtaining estimated passenger arrival data, wherein the estimated passenger arrival data is obtained by generating the estimated passenger arrival data using a temporal memory convolutional neural network (TM-CNN); determining a vehicle repositioning policy based on the trained value function and the estimated passenger arrival data; and determining vehicle repositioning data for a vehicle pool based on the vehicle repositioning policy.
