  • Patent number: 8859795
Abstract: The invention discloses a technology for producing ester of carboxylic acid using cellulosic biomass as starting material. This technology comprises the following key steps: converting all of the organic polymers, including such high molecular-weight polymers as carbohydrate components and lignin, in cellulosic biomass into water soluble, small molecular organics completely in relatively short time under relatively mild conditions; separating the resultant water soluble compounds containing aromatic rings by adjusting the acidity/basicity of the reaction solution or by using adsorption resin; and converting the water soluble compounds containing aromatic rings into ester of carboxylic acid by hydrogenation and esterification in a corresponding alcohol solution.

  • Publication number: 20130123547
Abstract: A method of refining cellulosic biomass, including synchronous hydrolyzation of at least 85 wt % organic polymers, based on the total weight of the cellulosic biomass, in the cellulosic biomass into small molecular organic compounds. The synchronous hydrolyzation is catalytic hydrolyzation for which the catalyst used is a substance represented by L-M-S-H or L-M=S, wherein “M” represents metal, carbon or silicon, “S” represents a heteroatom, “L” represents one or more ligands, and “H” represents hydrogen.

  • Publication number: 20130092602
Abstract: A continuous reaction system is provided, which specifically relates to a continuous reaction system comprising subcritical and/or supercritical liquid as solvents and a reactant as solid. The invention can effectively prevent cavitations in the reaction system effectively, and realize maximum conversion of the solid reactant material.

  • Publication number: 20090043115
Abstract: The present invention discloses a process for producing Simvastatin and intermediate thereof. The present invention uses inexpensive and easily available reagents, its condition is mild, and it leaves out the protective and deprotective steps, which are necessary in prior methods. Compared with prior art, the esterifying condition in 8-position is greatly simplified.

  • Publication number: 20070185193
Abstract: The invention relates to statin compounds, and it discloses novel small molecule compounds, i.e., huvastatins, which are classified into I, II, and III. The invention also provides the preparation methods thereof and the formulations comprising the huvastatin as active ingredient. The present compounds can be used at lower dosage compared to the existing statin compounds, and also can help to control the desired blood lipid levels of the patients with hyperlipidemia. Huvastatin of the invention exhibits suitable hydrophilicity, strong potency and therapeutical effect for reducing lipid levels, and lower dosage.
