The reconfiguration message is sent by the first base station to the terminal. The method further includes reconfiguring the wireless connection according to the reconfiguration message, and communicating with the second cell on the reconfigured wireless connection.

In the embodiments of the present invention, the secondary base station does not schedule user equipment in a measurement gap period of the UE, which avoids waste of an air interface resource and improves the network transmission efficiency.
