Abstract: A system and a method for handling card detainment in a self-service terminal are provided. The system for handling of card detainment in a self-service terminal includes a card detainment handling server, a first self-service terminal and a second self-service terminal, which are communicatively interconnected. The card detainment handling server includes a card detainment information storage module for storing information related to a detained card. The card detainment handling server is also communicatively connected with a bank backend database, i.e. a bank business system, in order to obtain the account information of the detained card and the identity information of the user owning the detained card from the bank backend database and help a card detainment information and identity authentication module authenticate the validity of the card detainment information and the user identity.

Abstract: A card substitution prevention method for a self-service terminal includes performing, by a card feeding portion of the self-service terminal, an alteration operation in the case that a card exists in a card reader of the self-service terminal, to make the card feeding portion unable to receive another card and prevent the another card from being placed in the card feeding portion. Also provided is a card substitution prevention apparatus for a self-service terminal. The method can effectively protect a card of a customer and prevent the card of the customer from being stealthily substituted, thereby improving service quality of a self-service terminal and maintaining trade credit of a merchant.

Abstract: A method and a device for detecting and controlling banknote dispensing quality in a self-service terminal are provided. The method includes: detecting an empty box in the self-service terminal, setting a qualified rate of dispensed banknotes of the empty box as 0, and permanently shielding the empty box; detecting a banknote jammed cashbox in the self-service terminal, setting a qualified rate of dispensed banknotes of the banknote-jammed cashbox as 0, and permanently shielding the banknote-jammed cashbox; detecting qualified rates of dispensed banknotes of all non-empty cashboxes and non-banknote-jammed cashboxes, classifying all the non-empty and non-banknote-jammed cashboxes according to nominal values, and sequencing the cashboxes per nominal value in a descending order of the qualified rates of dispensed banknotes; and maintaining cashboxes ranked top M of the qualified rates of dispensed banknotes per nominal value in an open state, and maintaining the other cashboxes in a temporarily shielded state.

Abstract: A device and a method for ensuring fund safety of a self-service terminal user. The device comprises a detection module, a determination processing module, an execution module, a storage module, and a control module. In the method, after each self-service terminal user finishes a service relating to cash business, banknotes possibly existing on a small movement door is automatically recovered and processed by an automatic teller machine. By means of the device and the method, the banknotes possibly existing on the small door can be automatically recovered and processed by the automatic teller machine each time after the service relating to the cash business is finished, so the transaction speed and efficiency of the self-service terminal can be improved, and the fund safety of customers can be effectively ensured.
