  • Publication number: 20170191694
Abstract: A control method for a solar air conditioner comprises: a detection step, starting to detect the change situation of a DC voltage output by an inverter in the solar air conditioner when it is detected that the solar air conditioner enters an energy-saving control mode; and a judging step, adjusting an operating frequency of a compressor of the solar air conditioner according to the change situation of the DC voltage, so that the solar air conditioner uses a solar cell to supply power. Thus, solar energy can be used to the maximum degree, the problem that there is a need to supply power by a mains power supply because the power supplied for the solar energy is insufficient is avoided, and the cost is saved. Further disclosed are a control device for a solar air conditioner and a solar air conditioner.

  • Publication number: 20150369125
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for temporary increasing the power of a gas turbine, which is part of a combined-cycle power plant, wherein the exhaust gas of the gas turbine is used in a heat recovery steam generator to generate steam for a water/steam cycle including a steam turbine with a high pressure steam turbine, an intermediate pressure steam turbine and a low pressure steam turbine, whereby the method comprises the step of injecting steam from the water/steam cycle at a predetermined injection pressure into the gas turbine. The efficiency is improved by taking steam of a lower pressure than the predetermined injection pressure from the water/steam cycle, increasing the pressure of the steam taken from the water/steam cycle to the predetermined injection pressure by subjecting it in separate compressing means to a compression step, and injecting the compressed steam into the gas turbine.

  • Patent number: 8959884
Abstract: CO2 compression is a main step in carbon capture and storage, which is essential to control global warming. CO2 compressors are powered by electric motors, which increase operational flexibility but require much energy leading to additional expenses, power and efficiency losses. A method is provided for optimized operation of a plant including a power generation unit with a CO2 capture system and compressor with minimum losses during normal operation, allowing flexible part load. The method allows steam from the power unit to drive a steam turbine, which drives the CO2 compressor via an engaged overrunning clutch if a sufficient amount of steam is available from the power unit, and to drive it by the generator, which is used as motor when insufficient steam is available from the power unit. When no or insufficient steam is available the clutch is disengaged and the steam turbine may be at standstill or idling.
