In one embodiment, a method comprises: transmitting a query that includes an identifier of the subscriber and that requires information on AKMA allowability of the subscriber to a database; and receiving an indication of AKMA allowability of the subscriber responsively, where the indication of AKMA allowability is provided based on retrieval of information for the subscriber stored in the database.

Abstract: Systems and methods for device triggering for Fifth Generation (5G) devices are provided. In a some embodiments, a method at a core network node for device triggering for 5G devices includes at least one of: receiving a request to trigger a 5G device; and transmitting a Device Trigger Request message to a Short Message Service-Service Center (SMS-SC) with one or more SMS serving node identities to trigger the 5G device. This provides support for the device trigger procedure when the UE device is located in a 5G system.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for event subscription management in a network comprising a set of NF nodes, and corresponding NF nodes. The method comprises receiving a subscription request of an event for a user from an event subscriber, in response to receipt of the subscription request, transmitting, to a second network function node, a query request for querying whether the event for the user has been subscribed; and if a response to the query request from the second network function node indicates that the event for the user has been subscribed, transmitting, to the second network function node, an updating request for updating a subscriber list of the event for the user by the second network function node to include the event subscriber into the subscriber list.

According to an embodiment, a unified data management (UDM) entity maintains a short message service (SMS) waiting context for a terminal device. The SMS waiting context is information related to a re-attempt of a mobile terminating (MT) SMS delivery from at least one SMS service center (SMS-SC) to the terminal device due to a failure of the MT SMS delivery.

According to an embodiment, a network exposure function (NEF) entity receives, from an application function (AF) entity, a first request for subscribing to an event exposure of location reporting for a terminal device. The first request indicates at least one location reporting accuracy for 5th generation (5G) non-3rd generation partnership project (non-3GPP) access of the terminal device. The NEF entity sends, to a unified data management (UDM) entity, a second request for subscribing to an event exposure of location reporting for the terminal device.
