  • Publication number: 20190356575
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a communication node for handling packets in a communication network, which communication network is an ICN network. The communication node adds a time stamp to a packet, which packet is requesting content of a service or comprises at least a part of the content of the service and is of a format associated with the ICN network, and which time stamp is added into an ICN header of the packet. Furthermore, the communication node transmits the packet with the added time stamp towards another communication node.

  • Publication number: 20190312819
Abstract: A method performed in a network node for handling an Internet Protocol, IP, packet. The IP packet originates from a source node and addresses to a destination node in an IP communication network. Upon receipt of the IP packet, the network node decapsulates the IP packet to obtain, from a network layer header of the IP packet, an indication of a point in time to drop the IP packet. The point in time to drop the IP packet is based on a first maximum delay of the IP packet between the source node and the destination node. The first maximum delay was obtained from an application software running on the source node. The network node determines whether or not to drop the IP packet based on the indication, using a clock of the network node synchronized with a clock of the source node.

  • Patent number: 10394464
Abstract: An electronic terminal (100) switches (500) from a normal memory access mode to a volatile memory access mode responsive to receiving user input. An open-write command is received (510) from an application to open a first file for writing. A determination (512) is made whether the first file is located in a volatile memory partition of the at least one memory. Based on determining the first file is not located in the volatile memory partition of the at least one memory, the first file is copied (516) from a normal memory partition of the at least one memory to the volatile memory partition, and the first file located in the volatile memory partition is opened (518) for writing. In contrast, based on determining the first file is located in the volatile memory partition, the first file located in the volatile memory partition is opened (520) for writing. Write commands from the application are directed (524) to the first file located in the volatile memory partition.

  • Publication number: 20190261239
Abstract: A method by a coordination node is provided for controlling communications between Li-Fi APs and UEs. The method includes receiving peer connectivity reports from Li-Fi APs which identify Li-Fi APs having at least partially overlapping coverage areas, and developing a handover pathway data structure, based on the peer connectivity reports, that identifies Li-Fi APs that can receive communication handover from other identified Li-Fi APs. The method further includes determining an identifier of a first Li-Fi AP providing Li-Fi communication service for a UE, and accessing the handover pathway data structure using the identifier of the first Li-Fi AP to determine an identifier of a second Li-Fi AP to which handover from the first Li-Fi AP can be performed. The method then initiates handover of the Li-Fi communication service for the UE from the first Li-Fi AP to the second Li-Fi AP.

  • Patent number: 10298689
Abstract: A method in a first network node for assisting an electronic device to benefit from a service provided by a cloud is provided. The first network node is comprised in the cloud. The first network node obtains information from the electronic device. The information comprises computation and storage capability of the electronic device. The first network node determines a push content based on the information. The first network node retrieves binary executable and content from one or more second network nodes comprised in the cloud. The binary executable and content are based on the push content. The first network node then pushes the binary executable and content to the electronic device. This is to enable the electronic device to benefit from the service of the cloud without accessing the cloud.

  • Publication number: 20190097424
Abstract: An energy metering device (16) measures the energy consumption of a group of energy consuming devices (18, 20, 22), compares the measured energy consumption with an energy consumption threshold representing a level below which renewable sources are used for the generation of energy and indicates (I) to energy consuming devices (18, 20) of the group if the measured energy consumption is on one of the two sides of the energy consumption threshold. An energy consuming device (18) receives an indication (I), investigates if the energy consumption has crossed the energy consumption threshold using received indications and adjusts an own current energy consumption if it has.

  • Publication number: 20180241650
Abstract: This disclosure relates to determining aggregate energy consumption associated with sending content (e.g., media content, such as a video file, audio file, etc.) across a network. For example, node 106A receives a network packet from server 104 and forwards the packet to node 106B. Node 106A determines an amount of energy consumed by node 106A in processing the packet. Node 106A adds this determined energy consumption value to an energy consumption value in a header within the network packet to produce an aggregate energy consumption value and send the network packet with the aggregate energy consumption value to node 106B. Node 106B receives the network packet from node 106a. Node 106B determines an amount of energy consumed by node 106B in processing the packet.

  • Publication number: 20180242143
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a transmitting device (12) for transferring background user data to a receiving device (10) in a communication network (1). The transmitting device (12) intercepts a packet, which packet comprises foreground user data in a payload field of the packet. The transmitting device (12) determines that the packet is intended for the receiving device (10). The transmitting device (12) establishes an available amount of data in the payload field of the packet. The transmitting device (12) adds the background user data for the receiving device (10) to the established available amount of data in the payload field. The transmitting device (12) transmits the packet with the foreground user data and the background user data to the receiving device (10).

  • Publication number: 20180241234
Abstract: An on-board charge controller (100) of an electric vehicle, a central charge controller (104), and methods therein, for handling battery charge. The central charge controller (104) receives reports from two electric vehicles (100, 102) comprising intended routes to destinations to be travelled by the electric vehicles and an indication of their current battery charge level (100C, 102C). The central charge controller (104) further determines a proposed location where the first and second electric vehicles (100, 102) can exchange battery power, based on the received reports, and sends the proposed location to the first and second electric vehicles (100, 102). The first and second electric vehicles (100, 102) then transfer battery power between the batteries (100B, 102B) of the electric vehicles (100, 102) at the proposed location.

  • Publication number: 20180234822
Abstract: A method and a control node for handling incoming communication directed to a first wireless device when a user of the first wireless device is driving a vehicle. The control node detects a second wireless device that is present in the vehicle. When an incoming communication directed to the first wireless device is received, the control node forwards the incoming communication to the second wireless device, to enable a user of the second wireless device to act upon the incoming communication. Thereby, the first wireless device will not emit any sound or vibration and its user will not be distracted and tempted to look at the device and/or respond to the communication. The control node may be implemented in the first wireless device, a network node or a vehicle node.
