    Abstract: Realized is a method for restoring the activity of a catalyst for producing a carbonate ester by a simple technique with no use of a complicated step such as calcining or the like to allow the catalyst to be reusable, and a method for producing a carbonate ester at a high yield by use of the catalyst thus regenerated. The above-described problem has been solved by a method for regenerating a catalyst containing CeO2, the catalyst being usable for a carbonate ester generation reaction of generating a carbonate ester from carbon dioxide and an alcohol, the method comprising (a) a separation step of separating the catalyst as a crude catalyst from a reaction solution of carbon dioxide and the alcohol; and (b) a catalyst processing step of washing the crude catalyst with a washing alcohol to provide a purified catalyst.

The ball portion and the joint portion have an inner surface that links the two portions together in an axial direction and an outer surface opposite to the inner surface. The outer surface of the ball portion includes a spherical surface. The body portion further includes a first section and a second section. Each of the first section and the second section intersects with the inner surface and the outer surface such that the two sections together define a gap. The blocking portion is detachably connected to the body portion and shaped to match the gap, so that the blocking portion blocks the gap to form a hollow spherical joint structure. Further disclosed in the present application are a spherical joint assembly and an ultrasonic imaging device.

    Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure disclose subsurface scattering calculation method for translucent material rendering, which relates to the clipping and polynomial fitting of brute-force Monte Carlo photon tracking experimental results to accurately represent the energy attenuation of subsurface scattering in distance. On this basis, an average free path and a single scattering rate are used to determine the relationship of each term in the multinomial fitting formula so as to facilitate the calculation and adjustment of the reflection profile. In the end, through a new real-time importance sampling solution, the outgoing radiation from any point on the object surface is calculated by the Monte Carlo method. This importance sampling solution is also applicable to any other subsurface scattering calculation model. By combining this subsurface scattering calculation result with other results, such as highlight reflection, any translucent material object can be rendered accurately and efficiently.

    Abstract: A standard sample for measuring rock porosity by helium method is disclosed, which includes a cylinder body open above and a cover body matching the cylinder body. The center of the cover body is provided with a vent hole. The cylinder body is filled and tamped with filled sand body so that theoretical porosity in the cylinder body is 5%-10%. The filled sand body includes mixed sand body and quartz cotton. The mixed sand body includes coarse-grained high-purity quartz sand, medium-grained high-purity quartz sand and fine-grained silicon micropowder. By mixing, filling and tamping high-purity quartz sand with different particle sizes, silicon micropowder and quartz cotton, the porosity and permeability of the standard sample are reduced, so that the standard sample is closer to the physical properties of the actual shale geological samples to verify the method or calibrate the instrument for measuring rock porosity with helium method.
