  • Patent number: 8311365
Abstract: An analysis method for a regional image is disclosed for an image datum from a C-arm device. The analysis method includes: providing an indication module, reading the image datum, selecting a plurality of ROIs (Regions of Interest), calculating an average brightness of each of the ROIs, searching every of the steel ball image data, comparing each of the steel ball image data and analyzing each of the steel ball image data. By individually analyzing the regional image datum, the brighter or darker image signal can be excluded so that it can improve precision during searching the steel ball image data. Moreover, it is also more effective for comparing an image profile of the steel ball image datum with a real profile of the steel ball of the indication module. Thus, the steel ball image can be readily defined by its correspondence with the steel ball of the indication module.

  • Patent number: 8135113
Abstract: An image capture system for recording X-ray images in real time is disclosed. The image capture system includes an image pickup device, a sensing module and a surgical navigation device. The sensing module is used to detect the on/off status of the image pickup device. While the image pickup device is turned on to capture an X-ray image, the sensing module transmits a notification signal to the surgical navigation device. After receiving the notification signal, the surgical navigation device records the X-ray image captured by the image pickup device and the relative position between the image pickup device and the patient in real time. Thus, the real-time recording of the relative position between the image pickup device and the patient will prevent inaccurate image reading that occurs when the patient's position and image pickup device shift after the X-ray image has been captured.

  • Publication number: 20110087233
Abstract: A method for guiding symmetric implantation of bone screws is provided. The method includes the steps of: providing a spinal image of a spine, wherein the spine has a first bone screw implanted in one side of a spinous process of the spine; obtaining a first implanting information of the first bone screw; setting a reference line in the spinal image; generating a second implanting information by mirroring the first implanting information with respect to the reference line; and guiding a second bone screw to be implanted in the other side of the spinous process according to the second implanting information. The method generates a second implanting information that is based on and symmetric to the first implanting information, thus allowing the bone screws to be precisely implanted in both sides of the spinous process and aligned with each other in the same transverse section of the spinous process.

  • Publication number: 20110046636
Abstract: A surgical guide instrument capable of omni-directional positioning and an omni-directional positioning unit thereof are provided. The surgical guide instrument includes the omni-directional positioning unit, which is coupled with the surgical instrument. The omni-directional positioning unit is configured as a pyramid, and a plurality of reflectors is deposited on vertices of the pyramid, respectively. As the reflectors of the omni-directional positioning unit are arranged as a three-dimensional pyramid, the omni-directional positioning unit can be connected in any position to the surgical instrument and be detected correctly by a surgical guide system, thereby reducing surgical complexity.
