  • Patent number: 5818158
Abstract: A deflection yoke includes a cone-shaped separator, a horizontal deflection coil mounted on an inner surface of the separator, a vertical deflection coil wound on a core mounted on an outer surface of the separator, a magnetic corrector for correcting distortion of a magnetic field formed by the horizontal and vertical deflection coils, and a pivotally adjustable support connecting the corrector to the separator so that the corrector pivots about an axis perpendicular to the central axis of the separator, wherein errors in landing of an electron beam on a screen of a cathode ray tube can be corrected.

  • Patent number: 5763994
Abstract: A cathode ray tube includes an electron gun for emitting an electronic beam, a deflection yoke which deflects the emitted electronic beam, and a corrector including electromagnets installed in the up-and-down and right-and-left sides of a separator of the deflection yoke for correcting the shape of the section of the emitted electronic beam. Resolution of the picture can be improved by correcting the distortion of the section of the electronic beam which is landed at the edge of a fluorescent film.

  • Patent number: 5614782
Abstract: The vertical deflection coil of a deflection yoke is wound by repeating the process that a main winding is realized by wire wound from the one end to the central portion of each core, wire which returns back at once from the central portion to the other end of the core, is wound along the outer circumferential surface of the core. The main winding is realized by the wire wound from the other end to the central portion of the core, and the wire that returns back at once from the central portion to the one end is wound along the outer circumferential surface of the core. Therefore, the distortion of a vertical deflection magnetic field is prevented.
