  • Patent number: 8786936
Abstract: Core-shell coated pigment particles are prepared by core-shell coating using pigment particles, at least one hydrophilic organometallic compound, at least one hydrophobic organometallic compound, distilled water and a solvent. Ink particles coated with an ionized organometallic compound are prepared by using the core-shell coated pigment particles, the solvent and a halogen compound. The ink particles, a dispersing agent and a dielectric liquid are mixed to prepare an ink composition. The ink composition has an electrophoresis property to exhibit an electric movement and has a good dispersibility in a dielectric liquid. The ink composition may be applied in a reflective type color display device.

  • Publication number: 20100272991
Abstract: A chrome-free coating composition for surface-treating a hot-dip galvanized steel sheet that includes carbon nanotubes and has excellent electric conductivity, comprising, based on the total solid weight of the composition: (a) 40 to 60 parts by weight of a water-soluble or water-borne organic resin; (b) 20 to 40 parts by weight of an inorganic metallic sol; (c) 2 to 5 parts by weight of a carbon nanotube paste including carbon nanotube (CNT); (d) 2 to 5 parts by weight of a metal oxide/phosphate-based anti-corrosion agent; (e) 5 to 15 parts by weight of an organic metal complex; (f) 3 to 7 parts by weight of a carbodimide cross-linking agent; and (g) the balance of water, ethanol or a mixture thereof. The steel sheet surface-treated with the composition may be useful to secure corrosion resistance without including a chrome component and shows its electric conductivity even when the coating composition is used at a coating amount of 1000 mg/m2 or more.

  • Patent number: 7387718
Abstract: In a cationic electrodeposition coating composition and a method of preparing the cationic electrodeposition coating composition, a cationic electrodeposition coating composition is prepared by dispersing a cationic electrodeposition resin in an aqueous medium containing about 0.5 to 3% by weight of zinc acetate. The cationic electrodeposition resin is prepared by reacting about 40 to about 60% by weight of a cationic resin prepared by an epoxy-amino addition reaction, about 2 to about 5% by weight of an acrylic cationic resin having an amino group, and about 30 to about 50% by weight of a polyisocyanate curing agent including partially blocked isocyanate functional groups. The cured film formed on the hard disc driver base frame by using the cationic electrodeposition coating composition contains no heavy metal such as lead or tin, has no appearance defect such as a pinhole and has excellent corrosion-resistance even when being cured at low temperature.
