  • Publication number: 20220094431
Abstract: The focus of the present disclosure relates to a secure global satellite network that securely transmits data from a ground station to one or more geosynchronous orbit satellites within a communicatively linked constellation of geosynchronous satellites. The communicatively linked constellation of geosynchronous satellites covers the entire planet, allowing access to users anywhere on the planet. The communicatively linked constellation of geosynchronous satellites also covers satellites in orbit above the planet, enabling any satellite to send or receive data through the communicatively linked constellation of geosynchronous satellites at any point in the satellite's orbit. The communicatively linked constellation of geosynchronous satellites functions as a communications backbone, enabling global communications coverage between any points on the earth, between any point on the earth and a satellite anywhere in its orbit, or between two satellites anywhere in their orbit.

  • Publication number: 20210316886
Abstract: The focus of the present disclosure relates to a constellation of earth-observation satellites communicating with terrestrial access points through an intermediate satellite constellation of networked relay satellites. The network system includes one or more terrestrial access points, one or more earth observation satellites, and a satellite constellation including a plurality of communicatively coupled relay satellites. The earth observation satellites establish links with the relay satellites, which relay the communications from the earth observation satellites to the terrestrial access points. The earth observation satellite can transfer recorded information to one or more of the plurality of relay satellites. The communication from the earth observation satellite may be routed through multiple relay satellite in the network system to reach the terrestrial access point.

  • Patent number: 10218431
Abstract: A space-based electronic data storage and transfer network system is disclosed. The network system includes terrestrial access points, a plurality of geostationary communications satellites, and a plurality of communicatively coupled low-earth orbit data storage satellites. The terrestrial access point establishes a link or communication with a geostationary communications satellite which relays the link or communication to a low-earth orbit data storage satellite for storing information contained within the link or communication. The terrestrial access point can also establish a link or communication with a geostationary communications satellite which relays the link or communication to a low-earth orbit data storage satellite requesting retrieval of information stored within the link or communication. Any low-earth orbit data storage satellite can access data from any other low-earth orbit data storage satellite through the communicative coupling.

  • Publication number: 20140067665
Abstract: A delivery service system and methods of use are described. The system includes cooperative efforts by multiple delivery services. The system and methods eliminate needs for a user to wait on a service provider's assistance to determine the cost of sending a package while protecting the service provider with prepayment before delivery. The processes described enable a new efficiency in package delivery wherein the users no longer need to wait in a queue at a delivery service and the delivery service no longer needs to have customer service representatives determining the cost to deliver the package and accepting payment from customers prior to the delivery service accepting the package. Such systems enable automated delivery of packages with minimal human intervention.

  • Publication number: 20070029401
Abstract: An irrigation system has a master controller and a single backbone pipe with a single isolation valve controlled by the master controller. Branch lines can tap into the backbone pipe and a solenoid valve installed in each branch line, with each branch line leading to plural sprinkler heads. Each solenoid valve is controlled by a respective group controller, and the master controller controls each group controller by addressing “open” and “shut” messages to the group controllers over two and only two wires that run alongside the backbone pipe.

  • Publication number: 20010034697
Abstract: A method and system for participating in a live auction via a computer communications system. Computer servers are utilized to transmit real time images of a live auction and track bids presented for particular properties being auctioned. Highest bids are processed such that they are integrated into the live auction. Software routines direct bids on a particular piece of property to an appropriate live auction and escalate responsive actions according to the circumstances of the auction. A description of a piece of property to be auctioned and a real time video image of a scene depicting a live auction of the property are transmitted over a computer communications network. A bid for the property is received and notification of a winning bid can be transmitted via the computer communications network. In addition to the description of the property, which can be textual or a graphic image, a video image of the property providing various views and details can also be transmitted.
