  • Patent number: 4914846
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus which allows cocking of the hammer of a gun whenever a gun is utilized with a casing which encases the upper rear portion of the gun preventing manual access by a user directly to the hammer itself. The apparatus of the present invention includes a cocking bar and a cocking lever both movably mounted with respect to the casing such that downward movement of the cocking lever will facilitate downward movement of the cocking bar causing cocking movement of the gun hammer itself without requiring direct access to the hammer surface by the user. Preferably the cocking bar is movably mounted within left and right cocking slots defined in the side walls of the casing. Resilient spring biasing means are preferably positioned adjacent each slot to facilitate movement of the cocking bar to the steady state uppermost position whenever downward pressure is not being exerted upon the cocking lever itself or upon a tab extending outwardly from the rear section thereof.

  • Patent number: 4864760
Abstract: A device for facilitating quick and efficient selective locking of a handgun which includes a casing adapted to be secured to the butt end of a handgun which includes therein a plurality of rotatably movable locking rings which movability is controlled by a plurality of control knobs positioned on the other surface of the casing. Movement control between the knobs and the rings is achieved by a plurality of gearing means including a pinion shaft extending through the external surface of the casing. Preferably three such locking rings and control knob combination assemblies are included to allow for full and complete locking and yet facilitate ease of unlocking.

  • Patent number: 4621426
Abstract: A locking cover assembly is disclosed which is particularly usable with a conventional chain saw wherein the assembly includes a cover extending about and surrounding the chain and bar cutting assembly of the chain saw while defining a slot extending longitudinally along the bottom edge thereof to facilitate cutting. The cover is hingedly secured with respect to the housing of the chain saw to allow the cover to swing vertically upwardly responsive to cutting movement by the cutting assembly. Wing members are included extending longitudinally along the slot to facilitate movement of the cover during cutting. A biasing spring is included for holding the cover in the down enclosed position when the cutting assembly is not in use. A locking apparatus is included which has a plurality of guide rods fixedly secured with respect to the housing and defining apertures through which a movable locking pin extends.

  • Patent number: 4601404
Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a container for liquids or solids which container is made of either plastic or glass or other transparent or translucent material and wherein there is a combination adapted to show any tampering with the container. The improvement being a closure made of a two piece cap wherein both pieces overlap and sandwich a portion of the tamper indicator therein-between. The invention provides a practical means for indicating any tampering with or opening of the container by an indelible mark of ink made by movement of a ball on the inside wall of a transparent tube connected to the container.
