  • Patent number: 4095109
Abstract: In an illustrated embodiment a radiation detector is to be arranged in front of a xeroradiographic cassette and yet to avoid adverse effects on the xerographic image. To achieve this the shielding layer for the cassette is a graphite layer and the electrode layer consists of a vacuum-deposited electrically conductive material having a low atomic number. Desirably the electrode layer has marginal zones which continuously decrease in thickness so that no sharp absorption contours are present which would be over-accentuated in xerographic image production. Because of the utilization of a graphite layer as a protective shield, the absorption of the radiation detector can be kept very small. Electrical contact with the vacuum deposited electrode layer may be by means of a graphite layer which is in electrical contact with the electrode layer.

  • Patent number: 4027166
Abstract: A radiological measuring arrangement having first and second X-ray measurement fields wherein both X-ray beam measurement fields or areas are located concentrically with respect to each other in one plane, and that for the generation of a signal corresponding to the formation of the surface dosage product there are present means for forming the sum of the output signals of the two beam measurement fields. In the inventive measuring arrangement in order to encompass two magnitudes, namely, the surface dosage product and the incidence dosage, only a single beam measurement element need be applied to the diaphragm housing of an X-ray tube. A time measuring device or chronometer may be provided at the output of the second measurement field. In this further construction it becomes possible, in addition to the surface dosage product on the incidence dosage, to also obtain the transillumination time for X-ray exposures.

  • Patent number: 3978339
Abstract: A regulating installation for the power output conveyed to a three-phase user; including switches transmissive in both current directions having triggering characteristics, with the switches being positioned in two of the three power supply phases; first and second impulse generators; and an element transmitting a control signal to the impulse generators dependent upon the difference in the actual value and a reference value of the power output being regulated. Each of the impulse generators has, respectively, one switch associated therewith, the generators each being synchronized by a power supply phase and transmitting a triggering impulse to its associated switch. The first impulse generator is synchronized through a T-phase uninterruptedly applied to the user, and the second impulse generator is synchronized through an R-phase connected thereto by the switch associated therewith.
