  • Patent number: 10246191
Abstract: A partition wall for integration into the vehicle cabin of a transportation means comprises a first surface and a second surface, which are arranged parallel to each other. The first surface comprises at least one recess, which may be filled with an at least regionally flat body designed correspondingly thereto, wherein the body is pivoted to the body by means of a swivelling means and may be brought into a stowed position and use position. The body fills out the accompanying recess when in its stowed position. This yields a multifunctional partition wall that may tangibly increase the comfort and available space on board the transportation means without taking up additional installation space.

  • Patent number: 7588719
Abstract: An installation for the heat-treatment of parts includes a rotary hearth that can be rotated in a timed manner and which has an outer and an inner wall limiting a furnace chamber that is divided up into a heating zone and at least one treatment zone by vertically movable doors. The outer wall in the heating zone is provided with a closable opening for charging or discharging the furnace. The installation further comprises a transport device for transporting the parts into or out of the rotary hearth furnace and a quenching device. In addition, a second closable opening is disposed in the outer wall of the rotary hearth furnace in the last treatment zone. A sluice is disposed adjacent to the second closable opening and a quenching device is designed as a quenching bath and connected to the rotary hearth furnace via the sluice.

  • Publication number: 20070243603
Abstract: The invention relates to a platform (1) for a device for wetting objects, especially for an incubation/hybridization chamber that is defined by an object support (57) and the platform (1) arranged at a distance to said object support (57). Said platform comprises a base (3) provided with at least one spacer (7) and a frame (27) carrying said base. The inventive platform is characterized in that the base (3) is movably mounted relative to the frame (27) by means of a bearing device (23). Said bearing device (23), in a first functional position, maintains the base (3) in such a manner that it projects from the frame (27) and/or the bearing device (23), and in a second functional position it projects in some areas beyond an imaginary plane (E) in which the surface (5) of the base is disposed.

  • Patent number: 6050051
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for damp-proofing masonry, in particular for the surface sealing of interior walls, by waxy substances, the waxy substance penetrating the area to be damp-proofed by being heated during a reaction time and utilising capillary forces. In order to achieve non-destructive, ecologically harmless and durable masonry sealing which can be carried out with little expenditure, the waxy substance is brought into direct contact with the surface of a large area of the masonry to be sealed a heatable carrier, then being heated to temperatures above its melting point by heating the carrier, and thus penetrating the capillary system of the masonry, or that the waxy substance, distributed in a heatable carrier displaying a capillary system, be permanently applied to a large area of the section of masonry to be sealed, then being heated to temperatures above its melting point before or after application to the masonry, and thus spreading through the capillary system of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 5407548
Abstract: The invention concerns a process for coating a substrate 1 of little or no corrosion resistance, especially a metal substrate having an alloy consisting at least of Ni, Cr and Fe, in an evacuable coating chamber 15, 15a. It comprises making an electrode that can be connected to a current supply 10, this electrode being electrically connected to a target 3 which is sputtered and the sputtered particles of which are deposited on the substrate 1. Reactive process gases are, for this purpose, supplied to the coating chamber 15, 15a, so that an amorphously depositing layer 2 is applied onto the substrate.

  • Patent number: 4959519
Abstract: In a pressure butt welding process, in particular for welding chain link bent from round wire, the influence of disturbing factors on the quality of the welding result is compensated by measuring the welding forces F.sub.K exerted on the workpiece by the upsetting dies and setting and welding voltage applied to the workpiece according to the level of the measured forces F.sub.K. A control means adjusts the welding voltage via a thyristor control circuit and thereby the effective welding power in such a way that the welding forces F.sub.K remain constant.
