  • Patent number: 5333387
Abstract: Disclosure concerns a portable drawing toy comprising an openable rectangular box having manual rotatable knobs in the two lower opposite corners, which knobs move by strings and pulleys a horizontal and a vertical bar orthogonally with respect to each other. At the intersection of these bars is a socket for one of a plurality of different colored marking pens. A cover for the box comprises a framed window with flanges for holding a translucent paper on the underside of the window so that when the cover is closed the marker pen contacts the paper and rotation of the knobs causes the pen to draw lines on the paper, which lines can be viewed through the window. The translucent paper can be changed for retaining the drawing made thereon, and a magazine for different colored pens is provided in the base of the box.

  • Patent number: 5102381
Abstract: A jump rope which produces bubbles as it is rotated. A hollow liquid containing handle is located at each end of the jump rope. A bubble diffusor is positioned near each handle. A flexible liquid transporting tube connects each handle with its bubble diffusor. Each bubble diffusor includes coaxial tubes having an annular space between the tubes. Aligned openings are formed in the inner and outer coaxial tubes. The liquid bubble producing solution moves from the handles to the annular space between the tubes of the diffusor as the rope is rotated during jumping. The liquid bubble producing liquid spreads across the openings. Air passing through the openings in the coaxial tubes produces bubbles.

  • Patent number: 4467555
Abstract: A doll that may be actuated to simulate a swimming, walking or kicking action includes a torso with a pair of arms rotatably mounted thereto. A head mounting member is pivotally mounted to the upper portion of the torso and a leg mounting structure is secured to the lower portion of the torso. A pair of legs are pivotally mounted on the leg mounting structure in a manner to allow independent rotation. A compound cam is rotatably mounted in the torso and includes a helical groove in which a pair of cam followers are positioned that are in turn secured to each of the legs. A third cam follower is positioned within the torso to engage an eccentric cam that is part of the compound cam. The third cam follower is mechanically connected to the head mounting member resulting in pivoting of the head. A flotation device is arranged to be engageable by the doll's arms for use in the swimming mode.

  • Patent number: 4305222
Abstract: A roller skating doll includes a pair of roller skates and an internal drive mechanism permitting the doll to skate in a realistic manner. The skates may be removably secured to a pair of legs movably mounted to a torso portion of the body. A pair of arms are operatively associated with the drive mechanism and similarly move in a realistic and natural cyclical path. The head is designed to pivot in accordance with the weight distribution of the body to maintain balance. The drive mechanism includes a plurality of specifically shaped cams to move the legs in a predetermined cyclical path. Each leg is pivoted generally outwardly at the end of its power stroke by a second cam drive mechanism.
