  • Publication number: 20020012749
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for coating and/or treating a surface of a substrate by applying to the surface a gas containing coat-forming particles necessary for coating, the particles being deposited on and/or reacting with the surface.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 30, 2001
    Publication date: January 31, 2002
Inventors: Hilmar von Campe, Dieter Nikl, Horst Ebinger, Stephan Will, Torsten Buschbaum
  • Patent number: 5380372
Abstract: The invention relates to a semiconductor component such as a thin-film solar cell with a seeding layer (20) arranged between a semiconductor layer (21, 22) and a carrier substrate (18). The surface of the carrier substrate (18) facing the seeding layer (20) is sealed or a sealing layer (19) is deposited onto the carrier substrate (18).

  • Patent number: 4602968
Abstract: There are described construction parts for gaseous hydrogen containing media which construction parts are made of a nickel alloy containing 40 to 70% nickel, 15 to 30% chromium, 0 to 20% cobalt, 5 to 10% molybdenum, and 0 to 20% iron and which construction parts have optimum hydrogen permeation prevention properties. For this purpose, the alloys contain 0.5 to 0.8% manganese and the parts are provided with a 1 to 10 .mu.m thick oxide coating by treating at a temperature of 850.degree. to 1000.degree. C. in an oxidizing atmosphere.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 10, 1985
Date of Patent: July 29, 1986

  • Patent number: 4455207
Abstract: A method for metallizing the surface of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic member by vapor-deposition of a metal layer in a high vacuum, with a glow treatment taking place before the vapor-deposition process. The surface of the plastic member to be metallized is removed until the carbon fibers lying closest to the surface are partially exposed. The plastic member is then degassed. A negative high voltage is applied across the degassed plastic member to bring about a glow treatment of the plastic member before the metal vapor-deposition. The glow treatment is continued into the initial phase of the metal vapor-deposition process.

Date of Patent: June 19, 1984

  • Patent number: 4432892
Abstract: For the safe intermediate and final storage of tritium after reaction with a hydride forming metal, it is embedded in concrete which, of course, does not lead to a complete exclusion from the environment since the tritium is able to permeate through the concrete. This is avoided by pressing to molded bodies at room temperature the tritium containing metal particles with powders of metals which have a low permeability for tritium.

Date of Patent: February 21, 1984
