  • Patent number: 6056227
Abstract: In order to make possible an automatic replacement of full bobbins in a spooling device with continuous thread supply, the supplied thread from the traversing thread guide is lifted and directed to a cutting and suction device. The supplied thread is cut and sucked in. The full bobbin is allowed to roll away from the spooling position on inclined rolling rails. Through the rolling motion of the full bobbin the fall of an empty bobbin into the spooling position is triggered and the supplied thread is attached to the delivered empty bobbin. A device for carrying out this method has a movable thread guide rail, a thread cutting device, a thread suction nozzle, rolling rails for the full bobbin, inclined rails for the empty bobbin and a thread guiding arm which wraps the thread around the empty bobbin.

  • Patent number: 5924644
Abstract: A process for producing different types of windings, especially a flyer winding or a composite winding, in the formation of a spool on a core sleeve of a spindle in a draft-twisting machine or frame in which, instead of displacing the ring rail over the full height of the spool to be formed, the full height is subdivided into zones and the ring rail is reciprocated in each of these zones only through a fraction of the total structure of the ring rail. During the winding in each zone, the spindle speed is held approximately constant and the spindle speed is changed only upon a transition from one zone to another.

  • Patent number: 4371121
Abstract: A high speed yarn winding device performing a parallel winding, with the winding having yarn windings which intersect within each winding layer. The parallel winding is formed on a sleeve rotatably and interchangeably mounted on a carrying device through a driven friction roller. The friction roller is partially looped by the yarn to be wound on and a yarn winding body involved in a winding of the yarn abuts at its outer circumference with the friction roller. A guide bar is adapted to execute lifting movements parallel to an axis of rotation of the friction roller, with the bar carrying a rotatably mounted wheel driven by the yarn fed to it and coming in contact with it and superimposing much more rapid and shorter modulating strokes on the relatively slow lifting movements of the guide bar. To improve the winding conditions of the yarn and the composition of the parallel winding, the wheel has at least one round drive surface concentric to the axis of rotation.
