  • Publication number: 20080207267
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine and/or an installation (6) and to a service unit, with the machine and/or the installation (6) having a control device (1) and a mobile radio unit (4), with the control device (1) being connected to a mobile radio unit (4) for transmission of data, with the mobile radio unit (4) being designed in such a manner that it can be dialled from a service unit (9) using a telephone number allocated to it, and the data can be transmitted via a mobile radio system (8) to the service unit (9). The invention allows worldwide transmission of data of a machine and/or installation (6).

  • Patent number: 4742444
Abstract: A method of optimizing drive controls in a computer-controlled machine tool. The method comprises the steps of (a) ascertaining the system parameters of the drive control system from an open-loop system response, (b) computing the control parameters of a control system from the system parameters and a closed-loop target response, (c) simulating a closed-loop control system using the system and control parameters, (d) comparing the target response with a simulated response, (e) varying the control parameters in the simulated control system, (f) repeating steps (d) and (e) until the responses coincide and (g) setting the final control parameters into the control loop of the actual drive control system. The method steps are executed by means of the machine tool computer control.

  • Patent number: 4740885
Abstract: In a computer controlled machine tool, the actual tracks obtained from the reference values are simulated by means of system models of the drive circuits for reducing contour errors, and an excessive deviation between the reference and the actual track is used for changing the operating track velocity.

  • Patent number: 4707780
Abstract: In a computer-controlled machine tool, an auxiliary filter is inserted into the reference value channel of the drive control circuit, which filter has a transfer function approximately the inverse of that of the corresponding drive control circuit.

  • Patent number: 4612709
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the positional movement of a movable workpiece of a numerically controlled machine tool. The apparatus comprises an incremental linear measuring system arranged along the path of movement of the movable workpiece, a rotary measuring system, mechanically coupled to a drive of the movable workpiece, and means within the computer control of the machine tool to relate the resulting measurements from the two systems to one another. The measuring resolution of the rotary measuring system is substantially greater than that of the incremental linear measuring system such that if the rotary measuring system is subordinated to the incremental linear measuring system, the machine tool can achieve greater control accuracy with respect to stopping and positioning the workpiece. The apparatus can also be configured to measure characteristics of the machine tool such as spindle pitch, spindle pitch error, and backlash and correct any control inaccuracies accordingly.

  • Patent number: 4381608
Abstract: A method for interpolating between a Cartesian coordinate axis and an axis of rotation of a numerically controlled machine. The axis of rotation of the numerically control machine is treated, from a control standpoint, as a linear Cartesian axis. Computing circuitry is provided for transforming and retransforming the coordinate data. In this manner, the entering of data into a machine control system is simplified.

  • Patent number: 4214192
Abstract: In path control apparatus for a numerically controlled machine tool, a computer determines the trajectory to be traversed in space, resolves the latter by way of interpolation into the axial increments of the individual feed axes and performs complete position control for each axis. The interpolation is accomplished by the method of direct function computation, using travel distance increments proportional to the trajectory velocity. The position control is designed as a discrete control and operates with the premise that the minimum total computing cycle time is shorter than the sampling time of the fastest position control loop required by the control system.
