  • Publication number: 20010049040
Abstract: The invention is directed to a fuel cell system for an electric vehicle that is driven with (at least among other things) fuel cells, whereby the—preferably but not exclusively air-cooled—fuel cell system is installed such that the dynamic pressure of the relative wind drives the cooling system. A fuel cell stack is preferably located at the radiator of the vehicle and the relative wind directly cools the individual fuel cells.

  • Patent number: 6299999
Abstract: The invention is directed to an intermediate element for thermal, electrical and mechanical connection of two parts, particularly two fuel cells. The intermediate element is corrugated and each corrugation is respectively multiply interrupted along its wave hill/wave valley and is coined upward and downward in alternation.

  • Patent number: 6087033
Abstract: Fuel cells, each having a negative pole flange, a negative electrode, a membrane, a positive electrode, and a positive pole flange with at least four through openings for feed and discharge, are characterized in that the negative pole flange (21), the membrane (24), and the positive pole flange (26) are clamped together at the edges by a frame element (28) in a mechanically firm, gas-tight, and electronically insulating manner.

  • Patent number: 4225411
Abstract: A support frame for electrolyte chambers in electrochemical cells with supported electrodes, having parallel wires extending in the direction of flow of the electrolytic liquid and arranged preferably between two thin screens, wherein the flow canals for the electrolytic liquid are substantially free of constrictions in the direction of flow.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 3943215
Abstract: A foam cushion with a covering of an elastic textile sheet structure is produced in a vacuum deep-draw mould by holding the sheet structure down during the suction cycle with a hold-down plate, but allowing it to slip through locally.
