    Abstract: A ball joint including a ball stud and housing having a chamber. The ball stud has a ball end portion disposed in the chamber. A resiliently deformable bearing member is disposed between the housing and ball end portion. The housing has a plurality of elevations formed therein. The elevations have radial extending side surfaces defining recesses. The elevations engage and deform portions of the bearing member into the recesses upon preloading the bearing member.
