  • Patent number: 11292286
Abstract: A transport device and a method for producing a coin with use of the transport device. The transport device is used to transport blanks to a minting station. A drivable first transport part having a plurality of first transport pockets is provided. A first clearance exists between the outer contour of the blank and the inner contour of the first transport pocket. The transport device has a second transport part having a plurality of second transport pockets. A second clearance is provided between the outer contour of the blank and the inner contour of the second transport pocket. The second clearance is larger than the first clearance. The blanks are transferred at a transfer location from a particular first transport pocket into a second transport pocket. The blanks are transported in the second transport pocket to the minting station, and a coin is minted there from the blank.

  • Publication number: 20210239345
Abstract: A monitoring system for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system of a building is disclosed. The monitoring system includes at least one processor and a computer readable medium that includes instructions executable by the at least one processor. The instructions include: determining a capacity of a filter of the HVAC system based at least on dimensions of the filter; determining a threshold based on the capacity of the filter; monitoring a state of a circulator blower of the HVAC system; and calculating a filter usage based on the state of the circulator blower and one of (i) a power consumed by the circulator blower and (ii) an operation mode of the HVAC system. The instructions also include generating, in response to the filter usage exceeding the threshold, an alert suggesting replacement of the filter.

  • Patent number: 10515501
Abstract: The invention relates to a testing device 10, that can be a component of a feeding device to feed coin blanks 11 to a coining press or a minting station 12. The testing device 10 has a contactless measuring first sensor device 30 and/or a second sensor device 40. Every sensor device 30, 40 that is present controls an associated removal device 32 or 41. Each sensor device 30, 40 detects a certain property of the coin blank and compares it with a corresponding standard specification. If an unacceptable deviation from the specification is detected, the sensor device 30, 40 in question controls the respective associated removal device 32, 41 to discharge the coin blank from a main conveyor device 13 which transports the coin blanks from a feeding end 14 to an exit end 15.

  • Publication number: 20070003891
Abstract: A furnace control system for controlling a gas-fired induced-draft furnace having a variable speed inducer blower. A control apparatus, responsive to a signal corresponding to the magnitude of a pressure difference between an inlet and outlet of the combustion chamber, controls blower motor speed to maintain the pressure difference at a predetermined magnitude corresponding to a selected gas flow rate. Inducer blower motor speed is varied directly and precisely to maintain an optimal pressure drop across the combustion chamber. The control system can be used in multi-stage and modulating furnace systems and in furnace systems utilizing pressure-assist modulating gas valves.

  • Publication number: 20060106498
Abstract: A controller for a fuel-fired appliance comprising a microprocessor that is able to detect an interruption in power, and immediately store errors and historical diagnostic information in a non-volatile memory before the microprocessor powers down. Upon restoration of power, the microprocessor would flash or display the most recent error codes on the controller's diagnostic LED or display. The microprocessor is also able to detect an open fuse condition, and flash or display the fuse error on the display.

  • Publication number: 20060078837
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for controlling a fuel fired heating appliance, the apparatus comprising a first processor for controlling the ignition operation of the furnace and a second processor for controlling the operation of a variable speed blower motor, wherein the first processor sends communication signals to the second processor requesting a desired speed of the blower motor to provide air flow for combustion. The second processor responsively sends a signal to the first processor indicating the receipt of the requested speed for the blower motor. The apparatus further comprises at least one pressure switch, where the first processor senses an opening of the pressure switch and responds by successively sending incrementally higher speed request signals to the second processor until the first processor detects the closing of the at least one pressure switch.
